The MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions) Finance organization works across all Microsoft products and services, and influences sales teams worldwide. We are looking for finance professionals who can proactively partner with both finance and business leaders to drive global impact with the goal of optimizing resources and maximizing revenue, margin, and market share. We will empower and inspire you to lead and be a top performer, while providing diverse career opportunities.


Our Customer Success Finance team is looking for a Senior Finance Manager, Customer Success, who will partner with our business, look at the intersection of our Consumption and Unified businesses, and help establish an optimal resource allocation for our Customer Success Organization by understanding our headcount, business outcomes, and resources drive. 


This position will be critical to help frame and drive efficiencies that AI (artificial intelligence) and Co-Pilot enable for our Customer Success strategies, mapping existing structure and partnering with the business to evolve our overall Customer Success resourcing strategy. You will partner closely with our Core teams leaders and Capacity teams to support Customer Success leaders and other MCAPS Finance teams, designing, orchestrating, and landing our Customer Success blueprints in light of our Delivery Strategies.

Responsibilities

Prioritize

  • Drive delivery strategies in a way that maximizes the impact of our Cloud Consumption with our Customer Success resources.
  • Identify and define productivity measures to optimize resource allocation choices in ways that accelerate our Cloud consumption and maximize our Unified yield.
  • Influence support delivery strategies to create value for our customers by delivering Consumption-driven activities.
  • Lead analytics and insights related to headcount trends across the Customer Success organization.
  • Develop executive-level reporting that provides visibility into operational performance, resource health, and strategic opportunities.
  • Synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights and recommendations for leadership.
  • Own financial management rhythms that assess business performance against budget, forecast, and long-range plans.

Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Customer Success, Support Delivery, and regional leadership teams to align investments with business priorities.
  • Deliver strategic insights and recommendations that support executive decision-making and business transformation initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting, planning, and business management processes.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • 5+ years of financial analysis and planning experience or business analysis experience.
  • Advanced experience with all Microsoft Office Apps particularly in Excel and Power BI.
  • Advanced experience in managing complex and dynamic financial modeling with multiple tiers of input and output; manipulating largest data sets preferred.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
