Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support United States Space Force Space Systems Command (SSC), Space Sensing (SN) activities in Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California.
This position will provide electrical engineering, space and ground hardware, communications infrastructure, integration, test, readiness, and sustainment activities supporting Space Sensing programs. The selected candidate will lead complex technical or analytical efforts, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, provide actionable recommendations to Government leads, and help drive high-quality program and mission outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in the functional area, sound judgment, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lead complex work across Government and contractor teams.

What you will be doing:
- Lead complex technical or analytical tasks, integrate inputs across multiple stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations to Government leads.
- Review work products, help resolve complex issues, and mentor or guide less-experienced team members as appropriate.
- Assess electrical, communications, and related hardware designs for compliance with technical requirements and mission needs.
- Support spacecraft, payload, ground-system, communications-infrastructure, cryptographic, and interface integration activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, interface documents, test plans and procedures, readiness products, and technical change proposals.
- Monitor integration and test activities and identify hardware, interface, performance, obsolescence, safety, or readiness discrepancies.
- Develop technical recommendations and courses of action to resolve identified electrical or hardware integration issues.
- Support technical reviews, test readiness reviews, mission readiness activities, and Government and contractor technical interchange meetings.
- Analyze electrical performance, interfaces, and risks across development, production, sustainment, and modernization efforts.
- Prepare technical assessments, reports, briefings, and recommendations for Government review.
What you will need:
- Professional experience and technical depth commensurate with a Senior-level role in the applicable functional area.
- Relevant electrical engineering, space systems, ground systems, communications, hardware integration, or related experience commensurate with the position level.
- Experience reviewing electrical or hardware requirements, drawings, specifications, interfaces, and test documentation.
- Ability to identify technical discrepancies, assess impacts, and develop clear recommendations.
- Knowledge of integration, verification, test, readiness, and sustainment activities for complex technical systems.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with Government, FFRDC, and contractor engineering teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications used to develop technical reports, briefings, and program documentation.
- Ability to work on site in Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, California and support in-person Government meetings and mission activities as required.
- Ability to support CONUS and OCONUS travel when required by the Government.
- Ability to work with sensitive and classified information, Government systems, controlled-access facilities, and Government-furnished equipment in accordance with contract requirements.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience supporting United States Space Force, Space Systems Command, or Department of Defense space programs.
- Experience with spacecraft, payload, ground hardware, communications, or cryptographic systems.
- Experience supporting hardware integration, environmental or developmental testing, readiness reviews, or launch activities.
- Familiarity with systems engineering, mission assurance, configuration management, or technical risk management.
- Experience supporting classified national security space systems.
- Experience leading complex technical or analytical efforts and coordinating inputs across multiple stakeholder organizations.
- Experience briefing senior Government leaders and mentoring or guiding less-experienced staff.
