Reporting to the VP, Strategic Partnerships, this role sits at the intersection of technology, strategy, and revenue generation. The Senior Director will play a pivotal role in architecting the roadmap for MarTech alliances, leveraging industry insights and market trends to cultivate productive, innovative, and mutually beneficial relationships with key partners. This position calls for an entrepreneurial approach to market expansion, an eye for scalable partnership models, and an ability to translate strategic vision into actionable business plans.
The goal of the Senior Director, MarTechStrategic Partnerships and Business Development role is to establish and grow Acxiom’s business for the MarTech (Marketing Cloud and MarTech) partnershipsMarTech.
This will be a growth role with a primary focus on growing a business for Acxiom in the MarTechMarTech partner ecosystem. The objective will be to identify and create Acxiom opportunities with MarTechstrategic MarTech partners. The role will be accountable for implementing and growing Acxiom’s partner strategy with MarTechkey Partners: creating the business plan, defining cross-functional initiatives to deliver on the plan, and meeting targets for the partnerships including revenue, pipeline creation, partnership tiers, partnership health and strategic objectives.
It will be a role with significant cross-functional leadership requirements including Acxiom teams (sales, product, engineering, delivery), and partner teams (field sales and partnership orgs)..
It is an individual contributor role but does have the ability to grow a team of reports with the growth of the business.

Business Development:

  • Implement and grow Acxiom’s vision and value proposition in the MarTechMarTech ecosystem
  • Drive creation of Acxiom client-facing sales materials for partnership offerings including sales decks and partner marketing materials
  • Build pipeline of opportunities, and lead new business opportunities, through the sales process -- working collaboratively with Acxiom Sales, Sales Enablement, and partner Sales teams
  • Monitor and manage performance metrics/measurement across the partnership portfolio

Partner Management:

  • Set and execute strategy for Acxiom’s “sell to” and “market to” the partner’s sales and alliance organization to build and maintain Acxiom’s brand with the partner. Set plan, execute on relationship development approach
  • Drive account alignment strategy with partner for targeting of high potential accounts (existing, new) between the two organizations
  • Lead the plan for engaging in the partner’s alliance programs: market development funds, certifications, co-marketing, partner joint solutions, etc.

Financial & Contract Management:

  • Maintain pipeline in Salesforce along with support of Sales Operations
  • Ensure handling of contracting and related paperwork including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, etc with the support of Sales Operations

Client Management – Sales & Account Management:

  • Align with client sales teams to pursue opportunities for upsell and growth of MarTech services within existing accounts
  • Align with new logo sales executives to pursue MarTech opportunities within net-new accounts
  • Align with other IPG agency client, strategy, or other leadership for cross-agency sales pursuits and joint offering development
  • Escalation point for any sales engagement issues related to the partnerships

What you will need:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing tech, data, digital, or marketing services industries
  • 7+ years of experience in customer/partnership management
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college/university
  • Demonstrated success in building and nurturing win-win alliance relationships
  • High level technical knowledge related to MarTech and MarTech solutions
  • Ability to create new and creative partnership solutions and joint value propositions
  • Strong networking and influence management skills that translate into building commitment and driving actions across organizational boundaries
  • Ability to present to senior level executives as well as run and facilitate strategic working sessions
  • Highly credible communicator with excellent organization and project management skills and track record of delivering results

  • Network of relationships and domain expertise in MarTech technologies, such as Treasure Data, ActionIQ, SAS Inc, Adobe, Salesforce, etc.
  • Domain expertise in identity resolution, consumer privacy and the ethical use of data
  • Existing understanding of competitive MarTech and MarTech landscape
