A little bit about our team:

Warner Records is looking for a visionary, data-driven Senior Director of Marketing. This is a high-impact role designed to bring cutting edge marketing ideas to some of the most iconic artists at Warner Records. You will be responsible for architecting marketing and strategy for album and on-roster catalog releases for Warner Records artists.

Your role:

The ideal candidate understands that in 2026, a "Number 1 Album" is just as much about community engagement and exclusive D2C drops as it is about streaming numbers. You will be the lead marketing & product manager for a roster of artists that includes all marketing strategy, physical and digital product production and be the architect for the overall artist’s vision.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Develop marketing strategy across all phases of artist + campaign development that position our artists as global stars, differentiate them in the marketplace, ensure a unified story / creative across all consumer touch points and leads to commercial success

  • Oversee the development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns for iconic rock and pop music artists at Warner Records

  • Align traditional label marketing campaigns (social, PR, radio) with robust D2C initiatives to ensure a seamless fan journey

  • Identify and execute high-margin revenue opportunities beyond streaming, including limited-edition physical media, exclusive merchandise, and digital collectibles.

  • Manage marketing budgets across your roster of artists

  • Leverage data to identify "super-fan" segments and tailor marketing efforts toward high-value audiences

  • Create an overall Marketing vision for the artist to be shared across the company, starting from signing and updating with each launch

  • Work with production and A&R oversee all product creation and development

  • Lead Campaign Development and collaborate with all departments to develop innovative, fully integrated marketing campaigns that drive cultural relevance, audience growth, and commercial success

  • Drive revenue by working with A&R / Commerce to develop music streaming and physical product ideas that generate incremental revenue and drive fandom

About you:

  • 10+ years of music marketing experience at a Record Label or management company

  • You have successfully led campaigns that resulted in measurable growth (e.g., Chart positions, RIAA certifications, or significant streaming milestones)

  • Expert-level understanding of the DSP landscape (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and social ecosystems (TikTok, Instagram, Discord)

  • Exceptional presentation skills; you can sell a vision to an artist and a boardroom alike

  • Outside of the box marketing thinking, not doing the tried and true but finding new ways to connect to fans, drive streams and sales of Warner Records music

  • Experience in international campaign coordination

  • Excellent executive presence with the ability to pitch strategy directly to A-list talent and their managers

We’d love it if you also had:

  • Great problem solving skills

  • A passion for music and the ability to market it

  • Outside the box thinking and new ways to bring fans into the inner circle to drive engagement

  • Experience with packaging, production and product development

  • Photoshop/Illustrator experience

  • Experience and deep knowledge of social and streaming analytics

  • Strong knowledge of catalog marketing for music

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
