How you’ll LEAD:

The Senior Director, Finance Insights & Reporting will lead the Finance Insights & Reporting pillar of the Finance Intelligence Center of Excellence (FinCo). The role is the Management Reporting Product Owner and Finance Business Owner for the FinCo Intelligence Platform, with end-to-end accountability for Management Reporting, dashboards, self-service, AI chat and human-reviewed GenAI and advanced analytics within Management Reporting. It owns product vision, UI/UX, approved semantic implementation, local extensions, design/build, support, adoption and retirement. The role collaborates with the authoritative Finance owners who remain the Business Narrative and Decision Owners, retaining interpretation, conclusions, decisions and actions.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • FinCo Intelligence Platform: Serve as Finance Business Owner for the governed starting point for BI, Management Reporting, self-service, write-back, role-based access, AI chat and approved analytical insights used in MR. Own requirements, backlog, adoption and value.
  • BI platform and tool strategy and selection: Lead the Finance evaluation, proof of value, recommendation, requirements, roadmap and value realization for the primary global BI platform, including usability, BigQuery fit, security, AI, embedded analytics and five-year TCO.
  • Management Reporting portfolio: As Management Reporting Product Owner, own the prioritized portfolio and end-to-end Finance product delivery of global reports, dashboards and scorecards for central CFO teams, Controllership, Central FP&A, Shared Services, regions and OpCos.
  • UI, UX and global/local design: Set reusable design, visualization, accessibility and mobile standards. Approve presentation-only local extensions using Data Management-approved semantics; changes to meaning, logic or grain require approval from the Finance Data Products, Semantics & Stewardship Leader.
  • Semantic implementation, self-service and access: Implement only FInCo Data Management Pillar-approved semantics in BI models and enable governed self-service. Define personas, report-access tiers and consumption needs; Finance owners approve sensitive access.
  • GenAI and advanced-analytics product ownership: Own the end-to-end lifecycle for human-reviewed GenAI and advanced analytics used within Management Reporting, from intake and backlog through requirements, acceptance, adoption, benefits, support and retirement.
  • Product lifecycle, acceptance and support: Own design, build, testing, product UAT, content acceptance, release, functional support, telemetry, enhancement and retirement. The Finance Data Product Owner accepts underlying data; Data Quality supplies quality evidence; the Finance client approves business use. Own first-line report support and route semantic/data-product issues to Data Management and operational DQ issues to Data Quality.
  • Enterprise and Finance Transformation collaboration: Actively collaborate with data and technology teams across the CDO and CIO organizations, and with the PBF CoE and FTO teams on Finance Transformation priorities, dependencies and delivery.
  • FinCo peer-pillar collaboration: Work closely with Finance Data Products, Semantics & Stewardship and Finance Data Quality teams to collectively deliver FinCo objectives, align priorities, resolve cross-pillar dependencies and deliver integrated outcomes.
  • Global team and stakeholder leadership: Build a multidisciplinary global BI and product team and engage Group, Regional and OpCo CFOs, Finance users, vendors and implementation partners.

Bring your VIBE:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise BI, management reporting, analytics products, or Finance information-delivery capabilities, including significant people and product leadership in a large global organization.
  • Deep knowledge of Finance management reporting, KPIs, actual-plan-forecast analysis, variance analysis, scorecards, executive reporting, and performance management, with demonstrated success balancing global standards and valid regional or business-line needs.
  • Strong fluency in at least two leading enterprise BI platforms and modern cloud analytics; experience with semantic models, BigQuery, security, lifecycle management, embedded analytics, write-back, React-based experiences, and AI-enabled BI is highly valued.
  • Proven experience leading platform evaluation and implementation, global product roadmaps, self-service governance, change and adoption, and executive stakeholder engagement across Finance, CDO, CIO/CTO, FTO, and external partners.
  • A demonstrated record of building high-performing multidisciplinary teams and delivering measurable business value; a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Design, or a related field is required, with an MBA or advanced qualification and music, media, or entertainment experience preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
