We’re building the next evolution of Freebird.com and looking for a systems-minded e-commerce leader to architect a compliant, scalable, high-performing global platform that supports the next decade of our growth.
The MissionAs the Senior Director of E-commerce, you will transform Freebird.com into a world-class DTC platform that is stable, compliant, reliable, and beautifully designed. You will build the systems, processes, and governance that ensure our site is technically sound, conversion-optimized, and ready for international expansion.
You will partner closely with Growth, Creative, Operations, Product, and Development teams to enforce UX standards, ensure executional excellence, and maintain data and compliance integrity across the entire site experience.
What You'll DoStandardize the Website Experience
• Shift the site from a patchwork of direct response funnels to a clear, consistent, best-in-class ecommerce structure
• Build unified product detail pages, collection pages, subscription pathways, and an intuitive site hierarchy
• Seamlessly incorporate bundles, upsells, educational content, brand storytelling, and guided shopping tools (e.g., quizzes)
Executional Rigor and Project Delivery
• Ensure BAU tasks and OKR-driven initiatives are delivered on time and at quality
• Maintain reliable communication, reporting, and visibility for the executive team
Compliance, QA, and Data Integrity
• Build a culture of meticulous QA, documentation, and compliance-first execution
• Ensure data accuracy, CRO test validity, and analytics reliability across the site
Subscription Compliance Ownership
• Update subscription flows to align with clear, intuitive, customer-first design standards.
• Build ongoing governance and monitoring to keep subscription logic, renewal rules, and disclosures consistent with industry standards and best practices.
International Launch Architecture and Compliance
• Build localized frameworks for tax, currency, fulfillment, and subscription compliance
• Partner with Ops and Product to ensure technical readiness for global expansion
Promotions and Peak-Moment Merchandising
• Own planning and execution for key seasonal and promotional events such as Father’s Day and BFCM
• Create a repeatable promo calendar and cross-functional workflow aligning Paid, Retention, and Creative
Requirements
Experience
• 5 to 10 years in DTC e-commerce with hands-on Shopify or Shopify Plus leadership
• 2+ years owning entire site experience including architecture, UX, CRO, or site operations
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across UX, CRO, and Development
• Strong background in QA standards, compliance, testing frameworks, and design governance
• Experience in mid-sized DTC brands with $50M to $200M revenue preferred
