Sysco LABS Sri Lanka delivers the technology that powers Sysco’s end-to-end operations.
Sysco LABS’ enterprise technology is present in the end-to-end foodservice journey, enabling the sourcing of food products, merchandising, storage and warehouse operations, order placement and pricing algorithms, the delivery of food and supplies to Sysco’s global network and the in-restaurant dining experience of the end-customer.
The Opportunity:
We are currently on the lookout for talented Senior Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the on-site product manager / PO teams to develop product specifications.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define business outcomes, success metrics, and requirements, translating them into quality business solutions and effectively communicating them across teams.
- Work closely with delivery and product teams to support product discovery and strategic roadmap initiatives through market research, competitor analysis, business process analysis, and the identification of opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and effective business solutions.
- Coordinate approval processes and clearly and confidently articulate user, business, and functional requirements to all concerned stakeholders including the management team, software engineering team, and quality assurance team.
- Proactively resolve open issues and work with the delivery teams to address key defects.
- Act as the conduit between the product and delivery teams and ensure high level requirements are translated into the level of detail required through backlog refinement activities, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts.
- Effectively plan, manage, and deliver requirements/BA tasks and activities and meet the required project deadlines and targets with a strong focus on the quality of the product/solution.
- Manage functional test suites and coordinate in-house training and product demos to ensure solution quality, data integrity, and successful business adoption.
- Maintain traceability between business objectives, requirements, user stories, testing activities, and delivered solutions.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, management, economics, or finance; a master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with software models; mainly Agile, RUP, and waterfall models.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP/PMP/ACP will be an added advantage.
- Ability to interface with onsite staff and function as the single point of contact for requirements.
- Exposure to data analytics, reporting solutions, KPI definition, or business intelligence platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools will be an added advantage.
- A passion for innovative product design and the ability to foresee business trends.
- Excellent logical and analytical skills, with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to analyze business processes, data flows, and identify opportunities for process and data quality improvements.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly written and spoken English, and proven experience in writing user stories, use cases, and detailed software requirements specifications.
- Curiosity and the ability to acquire domain and technical knowledge rapidly.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Curiosity and awareness of emerging technologies such as AI, automation, analytics, and digital product innovations.
- Should have strong leadership, management, and organization skills, including the ability to ensure schedules are met with a strong focus on quality.
