Job Description

The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for leading analytics and reporting initiatives that drive operational excellence across all operations departments, with a primary focus on procurement, supply chain, maintenance, and construction
This role will partner closely with operations leadership, procurement, IT, and finance teams to design reporting solutions, identify process inefficiencies, and provide data-driven insights that improve cost efficiency, vendor performance, and service quality.
This role requires a data-driven, solutions-oriented professional. Understanding of the real estate industry is a plus but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.  Additional duties or job functions that can be performed safely may be required as deemed necessary by supervisory personnel.

  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and reporting tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) across procurement, supply chain, maintenance, and construction.
    • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of operational reporting while reducing reliance on manual processes.
    • Translate complex data into actionable insights and executive-ready reporting.
    • Partner with the Data & Analytics team to ensure data accuracy and availability.
    • Create automated, data-driven vendor scorecards.
    • Perform line-item level analysis to determine inconsistent spending across markets.
    • Perform cost category analysis to determine opportunities for new national pricing.
    • Track compliance and savings from national programs and partnerships.
    • Collect, clean, and analyze procurement and fleet data (e.g., spend data, supplier performance, contract terms, and market trends) to identify cost-saving opportunities, inefficiencies, and risks
    • Conduct spend analysis to categorize expenditures across R&M projects, including construction materials, vendor services, and fleet expenditures
    • Forecast procurement needs based on project pipelines, market conditions, and SFRC development schedules
  • Operational Insights & Process Improvements
    • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Partner with functional leaders to identify, develop, and track performance of key initiatives.
    • Conduct root cause analyses on cost overruns, vendor delays, and service-level issues.
    • Support forecasting and scenario modeling to guide business decisions and resource allocation.
    • Present findings in a clear and concise manner to senior leadership, in PowerPoint or similar format.
  • Stakeholder Partnership
    • Serve as the analytics lead and trusted advisor for procurement, supply chain, maintenance, and construction leadership.
    • Work closely with IT and data teams to enhance data quality, governance, and system integrations supporting operational reporting.
    • Provide training and support for business users to adopt and leverage reporting tools effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous real estate or procurement / supply chain experience
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and highly analytical
  • Looks for creative solutions and works through problems before asking for help
  • Writes clearly and informatively and presents numerical data in an easy to digest format

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in finance, accounting, real estate, supply chain, or similar roles
  • 4+ years of successful experience in an equivalent role
  • Knowledge of budgeting, costing, and reporting systems
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving ability where problems are unusual and complex
  • Experience in financial modeling and data analysis

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and Yardi

Salary Range

Placement within this compensation range will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, experience and skills.

$77,560.00 - $129,260.00
