About the Role

Qualys is seeking a Senior Commissions Analyst with extensive expertise in Xactly Incent and Salesforce to lead the end-to-end commissions process. This role will manage the accuracy and integrity of incentive compensation, provide strategic reporting to leadership, and ensure financial alignment of commissions with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in incentive compensation systems, reporting and reconciliations of ACV, TCV, and ARR, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement with FP&A, Sales Operations, HR, and IT.

This is a highly visible role that combines operational rigor with analytical insight, supporting both the tactical payout cycles and the strategic evolution of our commissions framework.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration, configuration, and governance of Xactly Incent, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and scalability.

  • Oversee commission calculations, reporting, and reconciliations across sales metrics, including ACV, TCV, ARR, and bookings.

  • Partner with the FP&A team on commissions modeling, financial impact analysis, and policy implementation.

  • Provide executive-level reporting on commissions performance, compensation-to-revenue alignment, and sales productivity insights.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, HR, and IT to ensure policies, data flows, and systems integrations (Xactly–Salesforce–ERP) are seamless and well controlled.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, analytics, and audit-ready reconciliations for commissions and related financial metrics.

  • Lead monthly and quarterly commission payout processes, including validation, variance analysis, and issue resolution.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for commissions audits, compliance reviews, and external reporting requirements.

  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, automation, and reporting to increase transparency and efficiency.

  • Mentor junior team members and act as a subject-matter expert on incentive compensation best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10–12 years of experience in commissions management, incentive compensation, or sales operations, with significant exposure to Xactly Incent (administration, configuration, reporting).

  • Strong expertise in Salesforce CRM, data structures, and integrations with incentive systems.

  • Deep experience in reporting and reconciliations of ACV, TCV, ARR, bookings, and revenue-related metrics.

  • Proven ability to partner with FP&A teams on forecasting, policy design, and sales incentive modeling.

  • Strong financial and analytical acumen with proficiency in Excel, SQL, or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven experience engaging executive stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
