Compensation: In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Role Summary: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting activities for St. Anne’s Family Services, St. Anne’s Foundation, and St. Anne’s Bogen Family Center, LLC (inclusive of THCCC). The Staff Accountant performs accounting activities using NetSuite and other agency systems and is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end close, assisting with grant and contract accounting, and supporting audits and financial reporting.

- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Every other Friday off

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly and year-end financial close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare and post journal entries in NetSuite, ensuring transactions are properly supported, approved, and coded.
- Analyze account activity, investigate unusual balances and variances, and communicate findings to Finance leadership.
- Review allocation results and identify expenses recorded to incorrect grants, programs, departments, or Undefined/unassigned segments.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for annual financial statement audits and other regulatory or funding-source audits.
- Serve as a point of contact and support resource across the Organization's multiple concurrent audits and reviews (e.g., annual financial statement audit, Single Audit/Uniform Guidance audit, and funder- or program-specific compliance audits or monitoring visits from DMH, DCFS, LAHSA, LACOE, and other funders).
- Maintain confidentiality regarding financial, employee, resident, vendor, contractor, and other sensitive agency information.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- A minimum of four (4) to five (5) years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit, social services, healthcare, or government-funded environment.
- Experience supporting multiple concurrent audits (e.g., financial statement audit, Single Audit/Uniform Guidance, or funder/program compliance audits) preferred.
- Experience working with government contracts and grants preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, lookups, data analysis, and reconciliation of large datasets.
- Experience using NetSuite or a comparable ERP/accounting system required; NetSuite experience required.
