Job Summary
As a Securities Based Lending Associate Lender in the Securities Based Lending team, you manage credit portfolios and lead specialized projects. You analyze, structure, and document secured credit solutions, partnering with senior leaders to deliver exceptional client experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze, structure, price, and document secured lines of credit, term loans, and standby letters of credit
- Partner with senior market partners and Credit Executives to determine appropriate credit structures
- Recognize complex credit needs and collaborate with Custom underwriting teams
- Review transactions with credit risk elements, including annual product reviews
- Serve as subject matter expert for new product rollouts, credit projects, and testing
- Manage specialized products and initiatives, such as pledge mortgage and LIBOR phase out
- Present to and interact with Senior Leadership across Operations and Lending Solutions
- Lead training and mentor new or less experienced Analysts and Lenders
- Make credit decisions on new deals, amendments, and reviews
- Administer portfolio to minimize credit risk and losses
- Support overall team goals and contribute to process improvements. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or relevant credit experience
- 5 years of private banking, asset management, and credit/lending experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Deep understanding of financial markets and securities industry
- Ability to lead and collaborate within an integrated team
- Fluent in Spanish or Portuguese
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience managing specialized lending products
- Proven ability to present to senior leadership
- Track record of mentoring and training team members
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements in lending
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with process improvement initiatives
