This position reports to the CEO who is a dynamic, thoughtful, collaborative executive. The company is seeking a dynamic, passionate VP Sales with strong ambition to immediately and significantly impact a growth company with a large market opportunity. The VP Sales will be a key member of the executive team and help drive overall company vision and strategy. As a key member of the senior management team, he/she must demonstrate the sales vision necessary to grow the business exponentially. The VP Sales will report to the CEO working together in partnership. The ideal candidate will be an intelligent, analytical, creative thinker with a record of success in building and managing sales teams. The VPs’ charter is, first and foremost, to develop sales strategy to achieve longer-term corporate objectives, and oversee a sales organization to implement that strategy. In parallel, the VP Sales will close sales and bring in revenue and key customers. The VP Sales will lead, by hands-on example when necessary, the company’s direct sales success. As the VP Sales in a dynamic growth company, this executive must thrive in and have the passion for success in an entrepreneurial environment. The candidate needs to hit the ground running. The VP Sales must play both hands-on execution and leadership roles by leading a team and when necessary personally carrying sales responsibilities as needed. The VP Sales must be willing to roll up his/her sleeves and actively help drive their team to close deals. The successful candidate enjoys putting it on the line and being accountable for success. He/she is a driver and dealmaker who makes success happen and is motivated by it. The VP Sales will develop process and planning for ensuring effective sales channels development, including planning and forecasting tools, customer targets and measures.
