Regional Sales Operations Manager, New Markets

Overview:

The Sales Operations team is a force multiplier for Weedmaps’ Revenue Organization. The Sales Operations team drives operational excellence, influences sales and customer success strategy, partners inside and outside the revenue function, and executes initiatives to maximum impact.  We are looking to add a Regional Sales Operations Manager to continue building out this critical capability. This role will be critical to Weedmaps winning new markets through driving cross-functional coordination across Sales, Marketing, Government Relations, Legal and other groups. 

The impact you'll make:

  • Define priority markets and align on tactical plans based on
    • Opportunity sizing in collaboration with Sales Finance
    • Forecasting commercialization timeline in collaboration with Government Relations team
    • Fit with WM products in collaboration with Sales & Legal teams
    • Advertising capabilities (B2C and BCB) with Marketing & Sales teams
  • Drive agenda for weekly regional meeting to define actions on go to market
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders to build collaboratively co-create strategy with each function
  • Project manage execution of go to market
  • Drive accountability in go to market from all functions 
  • Create a playbook to conquer new markets, including adapting tools and processes to the needs of the new markets
  • Where relevant, scale innovative learnings from new markets to improve existing WM markets

As a manager you will support the above priorities through leading and executing projects, problem solving critical strategy and operations issues, and building relationships with the plethora of stakeholders. 

What you've accomplished:

  • BS / BA Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience in sales operations, business operations, management consulting, or an analytical/operational role
  • Comfort with, and ability to operate at an aggressive, accelerated, iterative pace in a dynamic environment
  • Extensive experience with project management and cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills (writing and presentation) with the ability to confidently interact with senior management
  • Experience supporting new market entry
  • Experience data modeling and data analysis

Pluses:

  • 3+ years of experience working in the advertising industry or in sales organizations
  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis
  • Experience with Salesforce.com, SQL/relational databases, and reporting tools like Tableau
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Office Suite (Sheets, Slides)
  • Extreme attention to detail (minimizing defects)
  • Experience leading meetings with and presenting to senior executives
  • Ability to see the insights beyond the numbers to drive sound decision making
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to flex between day-to-day operations and broader strategic initiatives
  • Enjoy building out structure and process while adapting it to an ever changing dynamic environment 
  • MA/MS/MBA degree in business or related field
