Business Development Representative
Sure is the leader in a new category and looking for an exceptional BDR to continue building its exceptional base of customers. As a Business Development Representative, you will create and execute innovative strategies to identify prospects for Sure’s Connect business unit. You will be the first point of contact for prospective customers and initiate exploratory outreach with potential customers like Common, Updater, Betterment, Revolut, and more. As a subject matter expert for Connect, you’ll understand and be able to clearly communicate our value to prospects. Your efforts will result in a full sales pipeline of customers across verticals including real estate, automotive, financial services, and more. Executing flawless communication sequences and aligning the prospect’s needs with Connect offerings are key components to success in this role.
About you:
- You have 2+ years of experience creating and executing prospecting strategies that reach key decision makers (C-level, Business and Corporate Development, Marketing, IT, etc.)
- You professionally represent the company as the first point of contact for prospective clients
- You are a master at identifying the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
- You are motivated to achieve sales targets and respond to a high-volume of inbound leads daily
- You have a startup mentality and can adapt quickly to changes
- You have a natural inclination to work within a culture that is fast-paced and dynamic
- You are no stranger to conducting a high volume of daily activity from calls and emails to scheduling meetings with members of the sales team
- You are eager and willing to learn and master the ins and outs of insurance technology
- You are analytical with ability to identify trends and help create new customer outreach processes
- You are self-motivated; the ability to collaborate is a must, however, you will be autonomous and expected to succeed without heavy direction
- You are a collaborator with experience participating in cross-departmental teams including marketing, product, and operations to refine sales messaging and processes
- You have experience with CRM tools, like Salesforce, and use it to assiduously track sales cycle progress and customer communications
- You are passionate, want to grow within the company, and have a strong desire for a successful career in Enterprise SaaS
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working at, or directly with, a software company
- A track record of identifying strategic opportunities
- Ability to flourish in a high-growth startup environment with ambiguity and work autonomously
- A data-driven strategic thinker, a proactive go-getter, a resourceful team player
