THE JOB:

We are searching for a seasoned sales professional with a passion for making partnerships successful. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and signing new opportunities with businesses to gain customers for RepairSmith. This will involve a combination of contracting fleet accounts and acquiring locations where our mobile repair vans can complete car repairs and routine maintenance onsite for the business’ customers. One example is identifying office buildings where we use their parking lot to conduct mobile repair on their tenant’s vehicles.

WE WILL DEPEND ON THIS PERSON TO:

  • Own: Creating strategic partnerships to increase RepairSmith’s outreach to customers using a B2B2C model. Some of your key customers are property managers of office locations and their tenants. For example, you will target multi-tenant workspaces like WeWork, Space, etc. to secure a location and then market, sell, and facilitate our mobile car repair service to their tenants.
  • Build: Key account relationship to fleet customers while developing customer centric service solutions using RepairSmith’s portfolio of offerings. This includes our mobile car repair and our partner network of independent auto shops.
  • Negotiate: Contracts with your customer base. In addition, develop and manage the new business pipeline using our CRM (Salesforce) and internal product. Responsible for cultivating the relationship with new business opportunities through timely follow up and continual outreach. You will work closely with the sales team, specifically the delivery channel (mobile repair), and the marketing team to coordinate and manage pop-up repair events.
  • Teach: The B2B2C/B2C Manager will communicate our vision and benefits to potential businesses and fleets accounts. Also responsible for debriefing and sharing key findings with internal cross functional teams.
  • Learn: Continually analyze contracted fleet accounts and acquired locations to determine additional areas of growth and profitability with the strategic partner.
  • Improve: Regularly collects partner feedback to improve on future events while providing strategic guidance to partners that align with RepairSmith’s vision.

WITHIN...

  • 1 month: This person will:
  • Identify a lengthy list of locations and fleet accounts to prospect in the Southern California area. Begin meeting with businesses in person to present and contract our business opportunity. 

  • 3 months: This person will:
  • Contract property accounts, companies, fleet accounts, and secure service locations. Work with internal teams to coordinate pop-up repair events. Attend, manage, and follow-up post event. Start prospecting in the Bay Area for fleet accounts and location acquisition opportunities.

  • 6 months: This person will:
  • Continue to coordinate events and acquire locations in California while beginning prospecting out of state in markets identified by the VP of Sales.

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Outgoing sales and “get it done mentality” are core requirements 
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a B2B2C emphasis 
  • 3+ years of customer-facing experience in high-tech or automotive environment 
  • Consultative sales management experience and or training
  • Track record of success in sales such as delivering on quota management and CRM
  • Understanding of fleet customer requirements (Uptime, TCO, business needs)
  • Preferred knowledge of property management companies and their procedures and requirements 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience with problem solving and negotiation skills 
  • Ability to structure and negotiate service contracts with defined customer groups
  • Experience working with cross functional teams
  • Willingness to travel ~25% of the time to be onsite visiting key accounts 
  • Attend industry conventions and events 
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred
  • Experience in Salesforce operation
