Who we are

In the past, to be a successful restaurateur, you simply had to have a passion for food and a passion for people - but to succeed as a digital restaurateur you also need to have a passion for technology. We believe in the joy of serving others, and that's why we created Otter – to help restaurateurs succeed in online food delivery. Restaurants around the world, both large and small, including Chick-fil-A, Ben & Jerry’s, KFC, and Eataly trust our software to power their delivery business. We increase sales, reduce order issues, and decrease delivery headaches.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Sales/GTM enablement specialist who is excited about building scalable sales training content that can be delivered through a variety of modalities to group and individual learners. The ideal candidate will also continuously adapt the curriculum & content to account for rapidly-evolving product, sales processes, and tools stack.

  • Sales Onboarding: prepare new-hire account executives by conducting orientation to Otter’s product and sales process, developing individual coaching plans, and providing resources and assistance to ensure effectiveness.
  • Training Programs: create learning content to support individual and group learning paths, including live presentations, videos, online courses, and skills assessment tests.
  • Deeply understand the customer journey and observe sales encounters (empirically and through data) to make iterative optimizations to the sales process, informed through data-driven experimentation (e.g., A/B testing).
  • Develop self-service training materials and resources to empower employees to continue their training independently.
  • Collaborate with the GTM leaders and Sales Operations to ensure tools positively support the sales process.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to jointly execute go-to-market; coordinate with Regional Sales Operations to operationalize (for example, pushing leads/tasks proactively to sales reps).
  • Establish key metrics to measure the efficacy of sales training investment (ROI on training hours).

We are looking for:

  • 2-5+ years of domain experience in sales enablement or sales training (bonus points if you’ve been in a direct sales/business development role in the past).
  • Knowledge of GTM enablement programs, sales methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders, understand needs and translate vision into a clear strategy.
  • Experience working within a global, cross-functional team environment and an ability to lead, influence, and continuously improve people and processes.

Why join us

  • Demand for online food delivery is growing really fast! In the last 5 years, just in the US, the overall market has expanded 10X from $10B to $100B, and could expand to $500bn- $1T by 2030.
  • Changing the restaurant industry: You’ll be part of a team that helps restaurants succeed in online food delivery.
  • Collaborative environment: You will receive support and guidance from experienced colleagues and managers, helping you to learn, grow and achieve your goals, and you’ll work closely with other teams to ensure our customer’s success.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
