As a category manag er, you will be the primary point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site. You will work with partners to build comprehensive views of supplier performance for continued sourcing success and participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead supplier performance and strategic relationships for the Semiconductor Sourcing team.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies in alignment with business objectives , partnering with internal Micron customers to drive implementation across DRAM module products.
  • Own end-to-end procurement processes for assigned categories, ensuring alignment across key customers.
  • Drive cost savings initiatives and track performance against defined metrics.
  • Lead process improvement efforts applying AI to increase efficiency and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering , Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sourcing or relevant experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Strong technical or engineering foundation, with the ability to understand component-level tradeoffs, supplier capabilities, and system-level impacts.
  • Experience working with and influencing senior and executive leadership, including presenting strategies and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to solve complex problems, navigate ambiguity, and manage competing priorities to drive outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with DRAM module components such as PMIC or RCD.
  • Experience in external facing roles, showing an ability to effectively represent Micron while maintaining confidentiality and managing supplier expectations.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$90,000.00 - $205,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
