The Clinical Educator RN is responsible for the planning, design and implementation of education programs/services and professional development of assigned staff. Works closely with nursing directors and/or department managers on the educational needs assessment and orientation programs for staff, in the assigned specialty. Ensures that competencies and skills are current and relevant for the nursing staff. Functions as a resource for educational issues throughout the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate educational programs, training initiatives, and competency assessments for nursing staff.
- Partner with Nursing Directors and Department Managers to identify learning needs and develop targeted education plans.
- Coordinate and facilitate orientation, onboarding, and specialty-specific training programs for new and existing staff.
- Ensure clinical competencies remain current and aligned with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development support to nursing teams.
- Serve as a resource and consultant on clinical education, evidence-based practice, and nursing professional development.
- Assist with performance improvement initiatives, quality outcomes, and patient safety programs.
- Develop and maintain educational materials, training resources, and competency documentation.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, clinical excellence, and employee engagement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Clinical education, staff development, or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, competency validation, and nursing standards of practice.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clinical leadership.
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Avenue, Tustin, CA 92780.
- The targeted compensation for this position is $113,000 - $145,000 per year.
