Hunter Industries is seeking a Quality Manager responsible for developing and supporting an effective Quality Department, to utilize the tools and methodologies of Six-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO requirements to improve the capability of the manufacturing and quality processes, resulting in increased efficiencies, reduced defects and variation, and improved customer satisfaction. 

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:   

  • Promotes the organization’s quality mission to expand and improve our quality manufacturing process capability to achieve defect-free, reliable products. 
  • Supports quality functions at internal manufacturing facility as well as global contract manufacturing locations. 
  • Implement policies, procedures, and controls to establish a robust quality management system. 
  • Leads efforts to ensure quality is integrated into all phases of the new product development process, including verification of specifications, product and tool design, molded and supplier part qualification, measurement system analysis, quality documentation, and product testing.  
  • Manages customer complaint system and works directly with customers and engineering to resolve product field issues. 
  • Responsible for product safety and environmental compliance. 
  • Monitors key performance indicators.  Prepares and submits report(s) and performance scorecard.  Implement initiatives to drive positive changes to key metrics. 
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement projects to increase team efficiency, reduce operating expenses, improve quality, and increase customer satisfaction.  
  • Tracks expenses against budget and recommends measures for cost reduction. Provides operating expenses, capital expenditures, and labor resource requirements during budgetary cycles. 
  • Continually expands knowledge of statistics and warranty/reliability engineering methods and applies methodologies in a practical manner. 

Education/Training Required and Preferred: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field of study or a combination of education and relevant work experience.  
  • Six-Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt Certification preferred. 

Experience Required and Preferred:   

  • Minimum five years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to track and measure results of programs, formulates forecasts, interpret financial data and trends, and prepare detailed budget and planning reports. 
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally. Ability to obtain a valid passport.

The annual salary for this opportunity ranges from $120,000 - $125,000. 

The Company complies with all federal/local/state regulations in regard to pay. The above represents the expected hourly range for this job requisition. Compensation offered to the successful candidate will be determined by qualifications, prior experience, other job-related factors, and geographic location.
