We are searching for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team The QA Coordinator position is responsible for supporting the flow of materials and information as related to the San Bernardino Quality Team. The San Bernardino Quality Team includes:  Import Inspection / Repair, Returns, and Fender.com. Additionally, this position is responsible for purchasing supplies and equipment related to the inspection and repair process.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates material movements: Schedules materials for inspection, STO Shipments, MIRC shipments and E-waste pickups. Assists with processing defective units to be returned to vendor.  Request repair parts, and expenses materials as needed.
  • Inventory: Monitors inventory movements within all departments and coordinates cycle counts and year-end physical inventory counts to assure inventory accuracy of 99.9%.
  • Tracks and Reports: Generates and distributes weekly / monthly inspection, returns and inventory reports (additionally as needed).  Updates and distributes performance metrics for each department.  Generates and distributes monthly inspector report cards.  Collects, updates and files daily checklist and audit sheets.        
  • Analyze and report / provide feedback: Reviews daily checklist and audit sheets.  Submits requisitions for replacement tools, equipment and supplies to the Quality Manager.  Processes approved requisitions for purchase. Recommend changes to increase departmental efficiency and productivity.  Participate in the review departmental performance metrics and assist with developing corrective action plans.
  • Provides administrative / operational support: Assist with the inspection / labeling / RA processing / Fender.com order processes as needed.
  • Champion continuous improvement methodologies: Assures that continuous improvement methodologies are adhered to within assigned work area. Assure utilization and maintenance of appropriate documentation and visual aids.
  • Assist in program launches: Assist Quality Manager with the coordinating activities, to ensure new programs, policies and service levels are effectively implemented
  • Participate as a member of the Quality Team. Attends appropriate team meetings. Accept responsibility to quickly identify any areas of lack of cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues effecting cohesiveness. Actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five years in an administrative, inventory or coordinator position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Efficient with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word)
  • Efficient in SAP and can extract data and disposition materials as needed
