Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Proposal Analyst – Level 3, to join our team in Redondo Beach CA.

The Northrop Grumman Space Sector’s Proposal Operations team has an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced, dynamic, diverse, and accomplished team. Proposal Operations consists of Proposal Analysts and Proposal Managers whose mission is to apply proven proposal execution strategies and leadership to teams across the sector to ensure successful, compliant, and on time proposal submissions.  The proposals we support include the top Sector Priority Win proposal pursuits. This enables our staff to step into a variety of roles and responsibilities, including leading large teams to competitive wins, gaining valuable exposure to sector/corporate upper management, and learning technical and strategic skills that can be used towards future success. 

Role and Impact:

  • Plan, schedule, develop, review and submit proposals that effectively represent our strategy and baseline while limiting non-compliances and weaknesses.
  • Collaborate with other team members to compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) requirements.
  • Lead/support proposal activities of diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience in proposals – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience in proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to use them in informing, presenting, negotiating and problem solving with a wide range of functions and people.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion.
  • Research and analyze historical data as well as develop cost models to support proposal efforts.
  • Experience reviewing, understanding, and responding to customer requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at time of application.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Experience leading and working on proposal team(s).
  • Analytical and detail oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Persistence and tenacity to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to understand and apply established proposal processes.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with capture and proposal teams.
  • Experienced SharePoint user.

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
