Technical Program Manager
We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Data Compliance team, you will use your understanding of business processes, technology and audit requirements to drive compliance and process improvement initiatives. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you will collaborate with engineering, security, finance and audit teams to support our compliance program including designing, implementing and improving controls, drive automation of processes, and validation of control performance.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in the development and improvement of our internal controls environment
- Support Snap’s compliance effort with different frameworks (eg. IT General Controls, non-financial metric governance) through close partnership with our internal and external audit teams
- Support the evaluation of existing processes and tools in an effort to mitigate risk and reduce manual control burden through automation
- Work closely with Engineering and Product management to continuously monitor control operation and address audit recommendations and/or control failures
- Develop relationships, promote control awareness and educate developers on adherence to best practices through training
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, computer science, management information systems, or other financial or technology fields
- 3+ years audit experience
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with non-financial key metric and data governance
- CISA designation preferred, CPA a plus
- Experience in Google and AWS Cloud Platforms
- Deep experience in SOX or other regulatory compliance program
- Proficient in business processes and IT general controls, application controls, IT infrastructure security, and how they intersect with financial transactions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to effectively interact with various levels of management, including functional department managers and directors
- Someone who thrives on building from the ground up and enjoys reaching for the highest performance standards
- Proactive and results-driven
- Ability to execute well and flourish in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in data analytics and data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Looker) a plus
