Technical Program Manager, IT

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of the PMO team, you will take ownership of developing project roadmaps and programs across multiple IT teams. You’ll utilize a good understanding of project management to recognize issues and risks, advise on selecting solutions to tough problems, and drive scheduled completion. You’ll also work closely with IT Management to formalize an IT M&A program. An ideal candidate will be someone with broad IT experience that can help solve any problem - whether it’s technical, operational, or process focused.
What you’ll do:
Structure existing IT M&A activities into a formal program with playbooks for pre-acquisition and post-acquisition items.
Perform gap analysis and create detailed project plans for acquisition integrations - identifying ownership across multiple teams, dependencies, risks, and milestones.
Represent multiple IT work streams in M&A working sessions with executive sponsors.
Maintain compliance with IT and security policies and procedures.
Drive project accountability between IT support, IT systems engineering, security, management, and other cross functional partners.
Create standardized documentation for projects including project charters, project designs, and project reports.
Contribute technical expertise to product, process, and automation development.
Build strong relationships and trust with stakeholders, keeping them and their teams engaged in the project, e.g. through status reporting and issue management.
Partner with technical teams within IT (Networking, Infrastructure, Enterprise Engineering, etc.) to understand the organization’s goals in order to determine project scope and deliverables.
Mentor junior team members and help shape the direction of the PMO team. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience working in fast paced environments while delivering multiple projects.
Experience with designing, implementing, and performing migration to cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.
Ability to understand the technical details and drive the projects through all phases from design to implementation and post-implementation monitoring/support.
Technical aptitude to effectively communicate with IT and other technical stakeholders.
Mastery of milestone planning, process mapping, quality control, change management, use cases, scenario management and brainstorming.
Ability to work within an OKR framework to drive accountability for all stakeholders.
Able to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs.
Minimum qualifications
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience.
5+ years of broad IT experience; leading teams and leading projects of significant complexity.
2+ years of experience as an IT Engineer (Infrastructure, Networking, Client, etc).
Development experience using python or other scripting language.
Solid understanding of Atlassian suites (Jira, Confluence, Portfolio) and how it supports business operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical program management.
2+ years of experience in coordinating IT M&As.
