The Opportunity:

Flexport is experiencing massive growth with 1,000+ Flexporters across 14 global offices and warehouses. And we’re just getting started. As a Senior Optimization Systems Associate, you’ll join a small team of experts whose mission is to deliver pricing and optimization excellence. 

The Optimization Team focuses on building and implementing new pricing and planning tools and processes to support multiple business functions. We work closely with our technology teams to maintain tool, process, and data consistency across the globe and all service offerings. This includes designing intelligent pricing models for execution in the field. Successful team members can think in algorithms but communicate with anyone. This team works across many groups within Flexport including Engineering & Product, Trade lane Management, Sales, Operations, and Finance.

You will:

• Project management of initiatives across the team working with multiple cross functional teams
• Drive necessary insights across projects to assist in defining strategy when building pricing and planning tools
• Develop robust processes to deploy pricing and planning models across the business
• Build and support in model building in MS Excel and Google Sheets
• Track & measure key results across portfolio of managed projects

You should have:

• Over 3 years experience in a project management role, ideally analytical in nature
• Excellent ability in building quantitative financial/pricing models
• Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly
• Very strong project management skills, managing the following effectively: project timelines, deliverables, budget, team accountability, status updates amongst partners and key stakeholders, and event objectives
• Exceptional organizational, prioritization and planning skills and fanatical levels of attention to detail and event improvement in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
• BSc, ideally in a quantitative discipline
• High proficiency in Excel/Google sheets
