Security Technical Program Manager

If you only had 10 minutes of an engineer's time, how would you engage with them to communicate key security topics? How would you really engage with an engineer and avoid the eye roll? We are looking for a Security Technical Program Manager to join our Security and Privacy team at Snap to create a brand new security and privacy education program. We need a driven, technically sharp person who can work across many different and diverse teams to build an innovative security education program that can really engage our engineering community.
Location: Los Angeles, Seattle, Mountain View.
What will you do:
Define, create and own a privacy and education program fit for fast paced engineers
Extract the best practices from our security engineers and translate them into a methodology that really engages engineers and encourages them to learn more.
Build imaginative and innovative ways of delivering content.
Continuously evolve the strategy, discovering what works well and what has the best impact.
Develop a methodology for measuring success.
Run campaigns to educate the whole company.
Whilst the Education Program would be a major part of the role, there is plenty of scope to drive and deliver other security technical programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience in security advisory or education space, technical program management or security solution delivery.
Experience working with engineers, driving security programs that have had a proven impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with mastery in the ability to tailor the message to the audience.
Experience building and delivering security educational programs.
Experience influencing teams and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive security programs.
Experience with threat modeling, application and OS hardening, vulnerability management, red teaming, bug bounty programs.
