We’re looking for an IT Project Manager to join Snap Inc! As a member of the PMO team, you will take ownership of developing best in class project roadmap and programs across multiple business functions.
You’ll utilize a good understanding of project management to recognize issues and risks, advise on selecting solutions to tough problems, and drive scheduled completion. You will manage a portfolio of Information Technology services that optimize IT and business processes. This role’s primary project management focus will be related to our Atlassian and Zendesk ecosystems.
What you’ll do:
Independently plan projects of significant complexity and risk.
Experience with designing, implementing, and performing migration to cloud infrastructure using industry best practices.
Partner with the business (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Vendor Operations, Legal, etc.) to understand the organization’s goals in order to determine project scope and deliverables.
Organize the overall project team and establish clear roles and responsibilities at the beginning of each project.
Prioritize roadmap deliverables based on business alignment and the strategic direction of the technology organization.
Build strong relationships and trust with stakeholders, keeping them and their teams engaged in the project, e.g. through status reporting and issue management.
Proactively detect misalignment and risk; gain consensus on appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact.
Serve as a liaison between other functional teams that are running concurrent projects with related dependencies.
Create standardized documentation for projects including project charters, project plans, work breakdown estimates and status reports.
Improve project quality and throughput by leveraging best practices, metrics, lessons learned and stakeholder feedback.
Technical aptitude to effectively communicate with IT and other technical stakeholders.
Mastery of milestone planning, process mapping, quality control, change management, use cases, scenario management and brainstorming.
Ability to work within an OKR framework to drive accountability for all stakeholders.
Solid understanding of Atlassian suites (Jira, Confluence, Portfolio) and how it supports business operations..
In-depth knowledge of the Zendesk platform.
Able to serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs.
4+ years in a project management or program management role leading projects of significant complexity.
Experience working in fast paced environments while delivering multiple projects.
Experience with Keynote, Powerpoint, or Google Slides; Modelling/diagramming: such as Lucidcharts; Project Management: such as Confluence, Jira, and Portfolio.
Proven experience in supporting projects for business functions such as sales, customer operations, legal, and finance.
