As a Snap Engineering team member, you’ll help us build the future of communication.
We’re looking for a Manager, Technical Program Management to lead our Engineering Programs team.
What you’ll do:
Lead a team that builds and manages a portfolio of programs designed to support our Engineering operations (how work gets done across the entire Engineering organization), improve the overall Engineering culture, and increase the skill sets of our engineers
Build and develop an exception of team of technical and non-technical program managers who will report to you
Develop team goals, drive the team’s roadmap and help to prioritize work
Use your experience with software development to create strategies to improve processes and the efficiency of the overall Engineering organization
Collaborate with Engineering teams and leaders on pain points across the org and areas for improvements, making adjustments to the priorities of the team in response
Take a hands-on role with critical programs and processes
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
A relationship builder with natural verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and proven project management track record
Capacity to work in a fast paced, continuously changing environment
A demonstrated ability to manage complex projects effectively (sets clear goals, identifies roadblocks, designs solutions, and tracks progress against deadlines)
Someone who can prioritize, focus, and is an independent thinker and problem solver
An individual who is self-motivated and driven and has demonstrated commitment to take accountability and responsibility for success of large programs
Someone who loves to learn, and is passionate about helping others
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
11+ years of experience working in software engineering and/or technical program management
4+ years of experience managing teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong experience as a manager of Technical Program Managers
Experience collaborating with cross-functional leaders and stakeholders at all levels
Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments
