Localization QA Program Manager
We're looking for a Localization Quality Program Manager to join Snap Inc! As Snap’s new LQA Program Manager, you'll design the LQA framework to ensure we deliver high quality localized experiences for all of our products. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll lead the charge in ensuring users around the world receive a quality experience Snapchat in every language. You’ll collaborate with product teams and a strong network of vendors to ensure we create experiences that resonate with users around the world.
What you’ll do:
Drive the strategic direction for Snap’s new Localization Quality Assurance discipline, building it from the ground up
Evaluate the quality of each current localized experience. Drive efforts to fix any problematic locales and put in place best practices to ensure we sustain the delivery of quality experiences for users in every language
Empower development teams to holistically own the quality of their content for users around the globe. Engage upstream with these key partners to guide them in understanding best practices for avoiding internationalization issues
Establish a cadence for regular evaluation of all localization resources. Evaluate vendors, translators, testers, and foundational elements such as our style guide and glossaries
Employ creative methods for the mining of feedback to create a comprehensive view of each locale’s quality. Create a system by which we leverage many inputs including data points from users, internal employees, and vendors
Liaise with members of the QA and Release discipline to stay aligned with changes to Snap’s best practices and tools for the facilitation of release and testing
Minimum qualifications
5+ years driving the strategy for a Localization Quality Assurance discipline for a software company serving the international market
Preferred qualifications:
Cutting edge insight on automated testing for localization
An appreciation for and curiosity about other cultures and users around the world. Extreme empathy for global users and a passion for ensuring all users receive the quality experience they deserve
Comprehensive understanding of best practices for defining, measuring, and trending localization quality associated analytics
Deep knowledge of Atlassian tools suite, specifically Jira
Solid influencing and communication skills that ensure clear and compelling narratives and inspire necessary action at all levels of the company
