Global Workplace Security Programs Manager
We’re looking for a Global Workplace Security Programs Manager to join Snap Inc! Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll ensure Snap employees and assets are protected from risks in the workplace through a strategic approach focused on cross functional partnerships, education, training, best practices and technology. The primary focus of the role is to participate in a mutually beneficial relationship with Human Resources, Legal, and other business partners in order to guide the Workplace Violence Prevention effort of the Company. Our intent is to contribute to successful business operations by preventing or reducing incidents of violence in the workplace. Our strategic approach relies on training to ensure a common body of knowledge exists among our employees and leaders so they are able to elevate serious concerns up to a multi-discipline Threat Management Team. Ultimately the program exists to build capacity within the Company to detect, assess and manage potential or current workplace violence situations.
What you’ll do:
Responsible for creating and overseeing content and programming to support workplace violence prevention, imminent threat response, and the threat management efforts
Serve as the departmental subject matter expert (SME) for all computer based learning related to Workplace Violence, Imminent Threat, and workplace security programming
Design, organize, and deliver effective in-person awareness training and education to all levels of the company
Support threat management processes by coordinating, planning and delivering Threat Assessment Team training for domestic teams
Coordinate time sensitive consultations with external thought partners for violence risk assessments
Identify and collect appropriate metrics to improve WPV training, diagnostics and assessments to measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the program
Collaborate with local authorities to establish systems and mechanisms for emergency response, in the event of an emergency
Responsibly steward budgets associated with program expenses; seek cost effective alternatives in order to reduce dependency on external resources
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in a corporate environment focusing on threat prevention
Preferred qualifications:
Experience building a Workplace Security Program for a technology company
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and partnerships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
Excellent critical thinking skills and sound judgment
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing at all levels of the company
