Job Description

EBAD seeks a proven leader for the position of Production Scheduler. This position is located in Moorpark, CA and will report to the Value Stream Manager.

Responsibilities: 

The Production Scheduler is responsible to comprehensively plan and manage the execution of daily manufacturing activities required to support the production programs within specified production cells. This position works with the Shop Floor Supervisor and Production Planner to execute the logistics, coordination and completion of all tasks associated with product manufacturing. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading all work scheduling actions ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to drive material and capacity requirements including planning adjustments resulting from unplanned demand, forecast shortfalls, production and inventory changes, and changes in customer demand. 

  • Reviewing new sales order requests and determining feasible delivery dates.

  • Developing the production schedules and maintaining the production visual board for assigned production cell(s); illustrating the status of the production activities for current programs. 

  • Monthly planning of operator and equipment resource loading / capacity planning utilizing MS project or MS Excel. 

  • Creating the plan for the weekly work required to be flowing through the assigned production cell(s). 

  • Brief daily gemba walk team on current status, obstacles impeding flow, and assistance that is needed. 

  • Presenting production area performance (SQDC and Program Status) to senior management when required.

  • Working with Product Engineers, Production Planner and Buyers to ensure material flow and production activities are aligned.  

  • Evaluating production activities for continuous improvement opportunities.  

  • Presenting forward-looking capacity in assigned production cell(s) to site leadership at monthly SIOP meeting. 

  • Coordinates with Production Manager on manpower planning to ensure alignment with resources needed to execute yearly backlog & proposed production requirements. 

  • Actively contribute to team activities and brief site operations leadership at Quarterly Operating Reviews. 

Requirements: 

  • BS Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, an Engineering Discipline or equivalent. (Equivalent years of experience will be considered)  

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments. 

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. 

  • Good working knowledge of computer applications such as ERP/MRP, proficient in MS Office Suite:  Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point. 

  • Ability to motivate people, particularly a production workforce environment  

  • LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred 

Salary Range: $90,000- $120,000
