ParentSquare is rooted in the belief that when families are involved, students thrive. We’re founder-led, started in 2011 by a parent who saw firsthand how much stronger classrooms become when schools and families work together, and making that partnership possible for every family is still our mission today.

As the market leader in K-12 family engagement, we help schools reach the parents and guardians of more than 22 million students in 190+ languages through the channels families prefer, including app, text, email, and phone. Our all-in-one platform brings together communications, attendance, forms, payments, and websites to simplify how schools and families connect and take action. ParentSquare Intelligence, the AI and data layer built into ParentSquare, turns engagement and attendance data into insights that guide proactive outreach, so districts can offer families the right support at the right time. Over 42,000 schools in all 50 states use ParentSquare to build trust with families and save staff time, and it consistently ranks among the top five free apps in the U.S.

We’ve been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies four years running and to Inc.’s Best Workplaces list two years in a row, and we’re just getting started. We’re committed to our customers and our people, and we’d love for you to help build what’s next.

Who we’re looking for:

Every morning, attendance teams across the country open a list of students who are missing too much school and decide which families to reach first. Nearly 1 in 4 students nationwide is chronically absent, and those missed days affect learning, district funding, and long-term student success. ParentSquare Attendance Plus gives those teams tiered attendance insights, family outreach, and intervention tracking in one place, inside the platform their district already uses. It earned Tech & Learning's Best of 2025 and is one of the fastest-growing product lines at ParentSquare.

ParentSquare is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to tell that story and help Attendance Plus reach more districts. You'll own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for our attendance line, partnering closely with the Attendance product team, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing. You'll become our go-to expert on attendance improvement and chronic absenteeism reduction, and your work will shape both how districts understand and adopt Attendance Plus. Expect about 20% travel to conferences and customer events.

Above all, you'll bring our two permissions to play:

  • Humility. We're heads-down builders who'd rather let the work speak. You listen closely to district leaders, attendance teams and clerks, and our own field teams, and you share every win with the product, sales, and success teams who made it happen.
  • Passion for our mission. The story you tell isn't abstract. When a district adopts Attendance Plus, its team gets the tools to bring students back to class, and you care about getting that story right.

This role will include:

  • Owning positioning and messaging for Attendance Plus, pairing market and customer insight  with district pain points into a value proposition that resonates from superintendents to attendance clerks.
  • Build deep expertise in the attendance market, including state attendance-based policies and funding formulas, district budget cycles, buying dynamics, and the competitive landscape.
  • Planning and running go-to-market for new Attendance Plus capabilities, matching the size of each launch to its strategic weight.
  • Defined launch goals and success metrics, then use adoption data, customer feedback, and field insights to shape what comes next.
  • Collaborating with the product team to tell the story of the Attendance Plus roadmap internally and externally.
  • Partnering with Sales Enablement to equip Sales and Customer Success with battlecards, buyer-specific messaging, ROI framing, and objection handling.
  • Running win/loss analysis and customer research, and turn findings into clear recommendations on product, positioning, and go-to-market.
  • Bringing the voice of the market into packaging, pricing, and roadmap conversations with the Attendance product team.
  • Identifying the highest-potential segments and growth opportunities, especially expansion within existing ParentSquare districts.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
  • 3–5+ years of B2B SaaS product marketing experience, including ownership of positioning and go-to-market for a product or product line.
  • Experience launching or scaling a newer product, including expansion into existing customer accounts. You bring an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable building the playbook as you go.
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills, with a knack for turning complex problems and capabilities into simple, differentiated narratives.
  • Hands-on experience with win/loss analysis, customer research, or competitive intelligence, and turning insights into recommendations.
  • A track record of building alignment across product, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Genuine interest in how family engagement drives student attendance and a desire to become our internal expert on it.
Bonus points for:
  • Experience in EdTech or another mission-driven, multi-stakeholder B2B market.
  • Experience marketing to school districts, education agencies, or other public-sector buyers.
  • Familiarity with attendance, student support, MTSS, or intervention tools.
Why Join Us?

You'll have the opportunity to shape the story and growth of one of our fastest-growing products, influence a fast-growing company, and make a meaningful impact on K-12 education.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
