About OpenRouter

OpenRouter is the open AI routing and infrastructure layer that enterprises use to access, manage, and optimize the best large language models across providers—without lock-in, capacity constraints, or unnecessary cost. We power some of the most advanced AI teams in the world by giving them the flexibility to move fast, scale confidently, and stay future-proof as models evolve.

As enterprise adoption of AI accelerates, OpenRouter sits at the center of how organizations operationalize LLMs across research, product, and production workloads.

About the Role

As our Product Marketing Manager, Enterprise you'll own that journey for our largest and most complex customers, from demo request to signed contract to expansion. You'll set the strategy for and execute enterprise product launches, build the sales narrative and customer proof that help our biggest deals close, and be a true thought partner to Product on packaging and positioning.

You'll work directly with Product, Engineering, Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Customer Success, Demand Generation, and Field Marketing. This is a hands-on, builder's role on a small team.

What you'll do
  • Own enterprise messaging and positioning. Create the core narrative, sales assets, and content that clearly articulate OpenRouter's value to technical and business buyers.

  • Run enterprise launches. Own the strategy and execution for enterprise product launches, from positioning and packaging input through sales readiness, content, and post-launch measurement.

  • Lead competitive enablement. Build and maintain battlecards and positioning frameworks, run win/loss analysis, and deliver sales training that improves performance in strategic deals.

  • Run seller enablement. Work with enablement lead to define what AEs and SEs need to win, keep it current, and measure whether it's working.

  • Support key opportunities directly. Partner with sellers on strategic deals by shaping deal narratives, building custom proof, and joining customer conversations when it helps us win.

  • Build customer programs. Stand up and scale advocacy, case studies, references, and a customer advisory board or design partner program that feeds both our proof and our roadmap.

  • Fuel enterprise campaigns. Partner with Demand Gen and Field Marketing so campaigns reflect real buyer needs, competitive context, and customer proof.

  • Close the loop. Respond to field needs, gather feedback, and continuously improve enablement based on results.

What We’re Looking For
  • 8+ years in product marketing or enterprise marketing, with a track record of developing messaging and positioning that sellers actually use.

  • Enterprise PMM experience at an infrastructure, AI, or developer platform company.

  • Experience building a sales narrative from scratch and working closely with AEs and SEs on live deals.

  • Proven experience leading enterprise launches and producing enablement and collateral.

  • Demonstrated, hands-on use of AI tools and agents to run a high-velocity product marketing and communications program. We'll ask you to show us how you work.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the confidence to engage senior technical and business stakeholders.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward shipping. You'd rather put out a strong v1 this week than a perfect deck next quarter.

Nice to Haves
  • Experience marketing developer tools, AI-native products, or infrastructure platforms in highly competitive markets.

  • Experience launching or running a customer advisory board or design partner program.

  • A technical background, or enough fluency to demo the product and hold your own with engineers.

  • Experience with a dual self-serve and enterprise motion

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
