TL;DR: We're hiring a Product Marketing Lead to work directly with our founding team to scale Listen from $XX → $XXX ARR. You're a strategic, customer-obsessed, and energetic product marketer who's excited to join a fast-growing, early-stage startup in a career-defining role. You're willing to roll up your sleeves – no task is too small when it helps move the company forward.

Min. 5+ years in B2B SaaS product marketing, ideally with experience marketing to product, design, or research teams. Prior product management experience is a plus.

Background

Listen Labs is an AI-powered research platform that helps teams uncover insights from customer interviews in hours — not months. We help customers analyze conversations, surface themes, and make faster, smarter product decisions.

Company highlights — entirely product-led:

  • World-Class Team: Founded by serial entrepreneurs (previous AI exit), former co-founders, and talent from Jane Street, Twitter, Stripe, Affirm, Bain, Goldman Sachs, and many more Sequoia-backed startups (plus IOI/ICPC backgrounds).

  • Hypergrowth: We’re a 30-person team backed by Sequoia, growing from $0 to a $12M run-rate in under a year. We move fast, care deeply about craft, and love working with people who take ownership.

  • Traction: Rapid growth across segments with enterprise wins at Google, Microsoft, Nestlé, and P&G.

  • Performance: Industry-leading win rate driven by a highly differentiated product.

  • Market Validation: Consistently winning customers across all segments with over six-figure lands that lead to quick expansions.

  • Viral Product: Interviews are shared with tens of thousands of viewers, fueling PLG, organic expansion, and daily inbound from Fortune 500s.

What You'll Do

  • Positioning & messaging: Own Listen's positioning, messaging, and value proposition across segments, translating product capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with our ICP.

  • Go-to-market strategy: Define and execute product launches, market entry strategies, and competitive positioning to drive adoption and accelerate revenue growth.

  • Customer insights & storytelling: Translate customer conversations into powerful case studies, testimonials, and use cases that demonstrate Listen's impact and differentiate us in the market.

  • Sales enablement: Develop pitch decks, battle cards, demo scripts, and competitive intelligence to empower sales and CS teams to win deals and expand accounts.

  • Market intelligence: Track competitive landscape, conduct win/loss analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform product roadmap and GTM strategy.

  • Cross-functional alignment: Work with Heads of Sales, CS, Product, and Engineering to ensure product launches are seamless and messaging is consistent across all customer touchpoints.

Who You Are

  • You're hands-on and resourceful, comfortable shifting between high-level strategy and execution, from crafting positioning frameworks to writing sales one-pagers yourself.

  • You're analytical and creative, able to blend market research and customer insights with compelling storytelling and strategic thinking.

  • You move fast, seek clarity, and thrive in ambiguous, high-growth environments where priorities evolve quickly.

  • You care deeply about craft and impact, not just output. You take pride in doing great work, even on small details.

  • You're curious and collaborative, eager to learn from teammates across functions and energized by talking to customers to understand their needs and shape messaging that drives revenue.

  • You're excited about building the product marketing foundation for a company defining a new category.

Life at Listen Labs

  • Competitive Compensation: We’re backed by world-class investors, including Sequoia Capital, Conviction, AI Grant, and Pear VC, and offer competitive compensation packages with meaningful equity ownership.

    • Over $30B in market cap has been created in adjacent industries (Medallia, AlphaSense, GLG, Ipsos, Kantar). Our Sequoia partner, Bryan Schreier, was the first investor in Qualtrics—a $12B company tackling similar problems to ours.

  • Benefits that Support You: Comprehensive healthcare and dental coverage, flexible time off to recharge, and an environment that values balance and trust.

  • Room to Grow: As an early member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to take on new responsibilities, shape processes from scratch, and grow alongside the company. We value people who want to stretch beyond their role and build something lasting.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
