About Us:

Insightful is a market-leading platform for employee productivity and workforce analytics. We process massive data sets of usage activity, synthesize them into actionable insights that help managers and employees perform at their peak, and help the world’s most productive companies stay that way by improving employee productivity, business processes, and giving every employee autonomy and transparency to work how they work best.

Job description:

We’re looking for a high-velocity, superstar Product Marketer to own the GTM execution of our Work Intelligence product vision in the US and globally. This is a hands-on, high-ownership product marketing role for someone who can operate independently and drive real GTM outcomes. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll work at the intersection of product innovation, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to craft marketing collateral and product-connected messaging that drives awareness, adoption, and engagement. This is a unique opportunity to define the voice of a transformative platform in a fast-evolving market and drive Series A-to-B growth. You will be the primary engine behind our competitive positioning, sales enablement, and product-led growth (PLG) communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Positioning & Messaging: Develop compelling positioning for Insightful’s Work Intelligence platform with a focus on product, operations, HR and IT leaders.
  • Competitive Conquesting: Run aggressive competitive teardowns and build the playbooks to win in the workforce management and HCM categories.
  • Growth Product Marketing (PLG): Own the messaging for our PLG funnel, from Storylane-driven interactive demos to viral content campaigns and automated onboarding sequences.
  • Sales & Analyst Enablement: Create high-leverage collateral for the sales and marketing teams including client-facing technical product briefs, strategic business decision making guidance, and Analyst-facing roadmaps. This role also contributes to Analyst Relations across 5-7 key analyst relationships.
  • Pricing & Packaging: Execute the platform’s modular pricing strategy as we evolve our product and launch new offerings and translate packaging strategy into clear, intuitive customer-facing assets.
  • Traditional Product Marketing GTM: Execute GTM plays for new product launches, product updates, and market expansions to maximize adoption and revenue.
  • Cross-Functional Campaigns: Partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment between messaging and product-market fit priorities.
  • Impact Measurement: Analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and iterate to improve performance and ROI.

You are a great fit for this role if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in SaaS or B2B product marketing, preferably with a focus on workforce, HR tech, or business intelligence industries.
  • Chasm-Crossing Mindset: you understand how to lead the shift from selling to early adopters to dominating the early majority.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated success supporting a high-performing salesforce with product marketing enablement.
  • Strong understanding of human resources, workforce analytics, productivity solutions, and related fields will be imperative.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal. Meticulous and detail-oriented, but deadline-driven.
  • Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach to marketing and curiosity about business results and impact.
  • This is a hands-on role requiring exceptional organization and cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sales, product, success and service teams.
  • Fluency with Hubspot, ProductBoard, Notion, Pendo, and Storylane is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management tools including Notion and JIRA for documentation is a must.
  • Proficient use of various LLM-based artificial intelligence applications is required.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
