Snap Inc is a technology company. We believe the camera presents the greatest opportunity to improve the way people live and communicate. Snap contributes to human progress by empowering people to express themselves, live in the moment, learn about the world, and have fun together.

The Company operates Snapchat, a visual messaging app that enhances your relationships with friends, family, and the world, and Specs Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary dedicated to making computing more human, in addition to Bitmoji, Saturn, and other digital services.

The Product team combines creativity, data-driven insights, and operational excellence to shape the experiences that make Snapchat engaging and impactful for our global community. This team of Designers, Product Managers, and Strategists works collaboratively across areas like Core Growth, Content, Bitmoji, Augmented Reality, AI, and Emerging Products. Together, they craft innovative solutions that enhance user connections, elevate content and AR experiences, and drive the growth and evolution of Snapchat's core platform.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to join the Saturn team at Snap Inc! We are on a mission to build the most powerful personal calendar, and the most fun way to share calendars with friends. If you’re excited about building tools for yourself, your friends, and your family—using AI to rethink a decades-old problem like the calendar—and scaling that innovation currently used by millions to a product used by billions of users, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Prioritize features, build roadmaps, and partner with cross-functional teams to design and launch impactful products that enhance core Snapchat experiences like Chat, Camera, Maps, and Content features.

  • Lead a product area by deeply understanding user needs and leveraging data-driven insights to craft a compelling vision and strategy that drives measurable results.

  • Take ownership of projects with significant ambiguity and complexity, delivering innovative solutions that are key investments in the team’s roadmap.

  • Collaborate with adjacent teams, including Designers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Researchers, to build and iterate on products that engage and delight Snapchat’s global community.

  • Influence cross-functional partners and align stakeholders across different functions to drive successful execution of initiatives.

  • Execute throughout the product lifecycle, from gathering requirements and writing specs to creating wireframes, running experiments, analyzing data, and coordinating launch plans with marketing and other teams.

  • Innovate and enhance core Snapchat products, ensuring they evolve to meet the needs of our growing global user base while delivering seamless and engaging experiences.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong AI skills are required: you must be able to build prototypes end-to-end using tools of your preference (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc), both from your own ideas and also aided by Figma designs.

  • Ability to deliver outstanding results in a fast-paced but collaborative and kind environment

  • Ability to build trust with engineers, data science and other cross-functional teams

  • Ability to define and analyze success metrics and input metrics (including but not limited to A/B tests)

  • Ability to think creatively and approach problems with system-level thinking

  • Skilled in interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organization

  • Knowledge of product-oriented quantitative analysis, including statistical analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 2+ years of experience building and shipping products at a technology company; OR a Masters and 1+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience across the entire product lifecycle including: defining product needs, prioritization, pre/post-launch execution

  • Ability to build prototypes end-to-end using AI tools of your preference (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc)

  • Personal passion projects you can demonstrate

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
