The Connected Commerce Lending Innovation team, a key business within Chase's Consumer and Community Banking group which is dedicated to meeting the borrowing and financing needs of our customers through installment lending solutions. We are a team of highly talented product leaders focused on delivering innovative lending products. We're transforming customer experiences, simplifying the ways we do business, and driving toward product excellence.
As a Product Manager on the Lending team within Lending Innovation you will support the development, launch, and growth of future products on our consumer lending product roadmap. Also focusing on building the next generation of lending products. Our first 'Buy Now, Pay Later' (BNPL) product is Chase Pay in 4, which allows customers to take out installment loans on purchases made with their Chase checking account.
You should be highly curious, self-motivated, and experienced in product innovation in consumer lending (zero to one builds and product refreshes), with a history of supporting successful end-to-end product launches. You must be customer obsessed and use customer data and insights to develop strategy and must have strong collaboration skills with our QUAD partners (Design, Technology, Data & Analytics and Product) as well as key cross functional partners (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Controls), and the flexibility to adapt to internal and competitive market dynamics.

Job responsibilities:
- Manage the product development lifecycle for Installment Lending, from ideation to launch, setting timelines, and ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Own delivery of capabilities in a banking-as-a-service model, shaping core banking capabilities and extending them to meet product requirements.
- Understand and communicate the customer journey and use cases - be central point of contact and SME on assigned journeys.
- Lead scrum teams, both within Alternative Lending and across Co-Suppliers, to get requirements delivered.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and design, to define product requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog, using tools like Jira and Confluence to track progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Own the end-to-end experience for account lifecycle management, ensuring seamless and efficient processes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with a proven track record of successfully launching and managing products.
- Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for product management and collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify requirements for new product development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in writing, refining and translating requirements into stories/deliverables and communicating progress of development with senior leaders.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with installment lending or related fields.
- Familiarity with Java microservices, financial ledgers, accounts, or collections.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of user experience design principles and best practices.
- MBA or advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
