Description

Summary:

RANDYS Worldwide is on a mission to build the most complete and trusted product data in the automotive aftermarket — and we are looking for a Product Data & Fitment Specialist to help lead the way. Across our remanufacturing and driveline brands (Yukon Gear & Axle, USA Standard Gear, Zumbrota, ECGS, Adams Driveshaft, and NAPC), our ACES, PIES, and product-attribute data is what lets a customer find the exact right part — on any channel, the first time. Getting that data right, and keeping it right, is a genuine competitive advantage, and it is what this role owns.

This is a high-visibility role dedicated to our remanufacturing and driveline brands, reporting directly to the VP of Product Management. You will work brand by brand through a prioritized backlog — auditing product data and closing gaps in fitment, attributes, and descriptions — then building the standards and discipline that keep the catalog complete as hundreds of new products move through our pipeline every year. If you love clean, accurate data, know your way around ERP and PIM systems, and take real pride in getting fitment exactly right, you will find a team that values that craft, a direct line to the impact you make, and the chance to help set the standard for product data in our industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Audit product data across the remanufacturing and driveline brands and close blank or missing required ACES, PIES, and attribute fields — spanning Items, Application, Attributes, Package, Pricing, Extended Information, Descriptions, Digital Assets, and Custom Fields.
  • Work brand by brand through a prioritized backlog, driving each brand's catalog to complete, accurate, and submission-ready product data.
  • Source, template, and bulk-load structured product data from OE, supplier, and engineering references to support efficient, high-volume import.
  • Create and enrich content-driven data — product descriptions, attributes, and vehicle fitment / application coverage — to channel and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain channel-specific product data for key sales channels (e.g., Amazon, O'Reilly, RockAuto, AutoZone) in partnership with the Ecommerce team.
  • Expand vehicle fitment coverage — including model-year expansion and new application coverage — using VCdb, PCdb, PAdb, and Vehicles-in-Operation (VIO) data.
  • Keep pace with active new-product (NPI) launches so newly released SKUs ship with complete data and the backlog does not rebuild behind the team.
  • Establish and maintain data-quality standards, audits, and validation routines that make RANDYS product data best-in-class.
  • Maintain accurate, consistent product data within the company's PIM (PDM Automotive) and ERP systems and across all downstream sales channels.
  • Partner with Product Managers, Engineering, and Ecommerce to resolve data gaps, standardize processes, and continuously raise data quality.
  • Track and report progress against the portfolio's product-data completeness goals.

Requirements

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Required: Direct, hands-on experience with automotive aftermarket product data standards — ACES and PIES — including Auto Care Association reference databases (VCdb, PCdb, PAdb, Qdb).
  • Required: Experience working inside ERP systems and with a Product Information Management (PIM) platform such as PDM Automotive (or a comparable automotive PIM).
  • Experience building, validating, and maintaining vehicle fitment / application data.
  • Familiarity with the product-data requirements of major sales channels such as Amazon, O'Reilly, RockAuto, and AutoZone.
  • Advanced Excel and data-manipulation skills — large datasets, import templating, lookups, and pivot tables — with strong data-auditing and validation habits.
  • Experience level is open. We value demonstrated skill with high-volume, high-accuracy aftermarket product data over years on paper — sharp early-career candidates and seasoned specialists are both encouraged to apply.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.

Knowledge and Personal Attributes:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for clean, accurate, and complete data.
  • Self-directed and highly organized — able to own a large backlog and drive it to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Automotive knowledge or enthusiasm — comfortable with parts, platforms, and how vehicle fitment works.
  • Able to move fluidly between high-volume, repetitive data work and detailed, thoughtful content creation.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator across Product, Engineering, and Ecommerce teams.
  • Process-minded — builds repeatable standards and durable fixes rather than one-off patches.
  • Takes ownership and pride in raising the bar and setting a best-in-class standard.

Why RANDYS Worldwide:

RANDYS Worldwide is one of the most respected names in the automotive aftermarket and a powerhouse in drivetrain and remanufacturing — a family of enthusiast-driven brands built by people who love vehicles as much as our customers do. In this role you won't be maintaining someone else's data; you'll own it, set the standard for it, and see your work show up directly in how customers find and buy the right parts. You'll have a direct line to product leadership, real autonomy, and the rare chance to help build a best-in-class product-data function from the ground up. RANDYS Worldwide is an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to status as a protected veteran a qualified individual with a disability, or other protected status, such as race, religion, color, national origin, sex, or age.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
