Process Engineer I (Lean / Continuous Improvement) — On-Site, Chatsworth, CA

Pay: $90,000 – $100,000 per year

NEOTech, an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider, is hiring a Process Engineer I at our Chatsworth facility. You'll own Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects that move real numbers — KPIs, yield, and P&L — not slide-deck theory.
If you've run 5S, SMED, value stream mapping, or root cause analysis on a live production floor and want your work tied directly to business results, this role puts you at the center of it.
What you'll do
- Facilitate Kaizen and transformation events that deliver measurable KPI and P&L improvements
- Lead continuous improvement projects across Chatsworth operations — from scoping through implementation and sustainment
- Provide hands-on technical and process support on the production floor; troubleshoot issues and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Improve manufacturing techniques and process capability, maximizing efficiency and yield at low cost while protecting quality
- Build process flows, business process requirements, and operating equipment specifications
- Drive issues to closure through project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Report project status and results to leadership through clear, data-driven PowerPoint presentations
What You Bring
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on Lean Manufacturing experience and formal Lean training
- Ability to apply, teach, and coach Lean Six Sigma tools: Visual Management, SMED, 5S, root cause analysis, value stream mapping, FMEA, Pareto charts, and histograms
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience
- Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to sustainable improvements
- Strong verbal and written communication — equally effective with front-line operators and management
- Project management skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint required; Macros a plus
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to think “out of the box.”
