Team Overview:

The Revenue Cycle Management team is rebuilding the foundational capabilities that support financial workflows across PointClickCare, including the financial record, census, payer management, and transaction processing. The team partners closely with Engineering, User Experience, Technical Writing, platform product teams, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, customers, and industry partners to create connected, accurate data foundations that enable workflow automation and financial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

As Principal Product Manager, Revenue Cycle Management, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the RCM portfolio in senior care. You will lead the ground-up rebuild of foundational capabilities, translate deep customer insight into solutions, and guide complex products from discovery through delivery. You will connect product strategy to measurable customer and business outcomes, optimize time to value and return on investment, and evangelize the roadmap with executive stakeholders and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the RCM problem space, product strategy, multi-year roadmap, and measurable outcomes for the financial record, census, payer management, and transaction foundations.
  • Build investment cases, quantify expected return, define success metrics, make prioritization trade-offs explicit, and adjust plans based on customer insight and performance data.
  • Represent current and future users by conducting qualitative and quantitative discovery, analyzing revenue cycle workflows, and identifying upstream opportunities across census, payer changes, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Partner with Engineering, User Experience, Technical Writers, and product teams using agile practices and Design Thinking to turn ambiguous, high-impact problems into valuable, feasible increments.
  • Define the connected data foundation needed for financial intelligence and workflow automation, and use AI tools responsibly to accelerate research, documentation, analysis, and prototyping in a healthcare environment.
  • Drive adoption and go-to-market success with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and other partners, including positioning, launch readiness, training, packaging and pricing input, and adoption tracking.
  • Inspire, energize, and align cross-functional teams around a clear product vision and customer outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of product management or product ownership experience, with a track record of shipping software that customers adopt and value.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, computer science, or a healthcare-related field, or equivalent experience
  • Health tech experience, ideally involving financial or revenue cycle workflows. Prior RCM experience is not required.
  • Experience owning or significantly shaping a foundational capability, data domain, or shared system used by multiple products or teams, combined with customer-facing product experience.
  • Strong discovery skills across interviews, workflow analysis, usage data, and experimentation, with evidence that direct customer insight has shaped roadmap decisions.
  • Experience owning a roadmap and defending prioritization decisions, including decisions about what not to build.
  • Ability to work with engineers on data, integration, and migration trade-offs and explain the customer impact of technical decisions.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve work quality, speed, or outcomes, with sound judgment regarding accuracy, data privacy, and compliance.
  • Curiosity, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for customers, engineers, and executives.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with financial transactions, ledger or billing data, census, payer changes, referrals, or prior authorization data.
  • Experience with platform product management or close partnership with a platform team.
  • Experience in a health technology SaaS business.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
