This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.

The Pricing Analyst supports Pricing Team in administering pricing objectives that align with Firm strategy by compiling and analyzing financial data, creating models to support pricing efforts, and building reports to track actuals and identify trends. Essential functions include:

  • Assist Pricing leadership  with the development of pricing programs and financial models and provide ongoing measurement on their effectiveness. 
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to identify strategic opportunities and improvements. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives. 
  • Generate financial analyses that support the development of pricing strategies, pricing policies, and optimization of pricing management. 
  • Provide ongoing profitability analytics, and timely and accurate financial information to support firm's client profitability objectives. 
  • Support the annual billing rate-setting process, including benchmarking analysis and ongoing maintenance of hourly and alternative fee arrangements. 
  • Maintain and validate the accuracy of pricing databases, tools, and templates, including Iridium and Elite 3E, to ensure consistent and reliable data capture. 
  • Prepare and present pricing analyses, reports, and dashboards to Pricing leadership and attorneys to support decision-making. 
  • Provide ad hoc financial analyses as requested. 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a pricing model database. 
  • Assist in responding to requests from attorneys for matter planning, budgeting, and tracking. 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage Excel and automation to minimize effort where possible. 
  • Assist in responding to requests for proposals specific to alternative pricing strategies; prepare pricing estimates. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 4-year degree with major coursework in Finance preferred; or combination of education and commensurate work experience required. 
  • 2+ years of related work experience in pricing, financial, profitability analysis or economics, preferably in a professional services environment; knowledge of legal statistical modeling and pricing tools required. 
  • Robust analytical skills and ability to utilize computer systems and related tools, including Iridium, Elite 3E, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.  
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all Microsoft office products, specifically Excel.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of California: $72,000 - $146,000
  • State of Colorado: $66,000 - $118,000
  • State of Connecticut: $57,000 - $144,000
  • State of Illinois: $65,000 - $126,000
  • State of Maine: $49,000 - $113,000
  • State of Maryland: $70,000 - $105,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $72,000 - $137,000
  • State of Minnesota: $72,000 - $119,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $78,000 - $141,000
  • State of New York: $67,000 - $144,000
  • State of Vermont: $71,000 - $136,000
  • State of Virginia: $47,000 - $136,000
  • State of Washington: $70,000 - $132,000
  • Washington, D.C.: $93,000 - $136,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
