This is a newly created, presales-focused role within our xP&A pillar. You will be the hands-on engine behind our demo and solution motion across Anaplan and Pigment: building the assets, telling the story, and presenting to client stakeholders. It is a high-visibility opportunity for a self-starter to shape the role as it grows and to become our presales lead across both platforms over time.

This role can be based in any of our US office locations and is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days a week. Ideal candidates should be local to the desired location.

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

What You’ll Do:

Presales & Demonstrations

  • Partner with our alliance and business development teams to own the solution side of the sales process: discovery, tailored demos, and proof-of-concept workshops
  • Design and deliver narrative-driven demonstrations that speak directly to a prospect's pain points, rather than walking through features
  • Present with confidence and command the room in front of client stakeholders, from finance practitioners to senior executives
  • Translate a prospect's business challenges into a clear, compelling vision of the solution

Demo & Product Asset Development

  • Independently build and maintain a library of demo models and sales collateral across Anaplan and Pigment
  • Develop proofs of concept for emerging platform capabilities (AI, workflow, Anaplan Applications) and connect them to live pursuits
  • Own the inventory and roadmap of demo and sales assets, keeping them current as the platforms evolve
  • Serve as a voice of the field back to the practice and our platform partners, surfacing what resonates with prospects

Growth & Enablement

  • Stay ahead of the latest Anaplan and Pigment features and share that knowledge across the team
  • Contribute to thought leadership by proactively identifying new whitespace and use cases the practice can pursue
  • Grow into a presales lead supporting both Pigment and Anaplan as the role matures

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed, based on project requirements
  • Presales or solution consulting experience gained at a software vendor or another consulting firm
  • Hands-on experience in Anaplan, Pigment, or both, with the ability to build demo models and assets independently
  • Anaplan Model Builder certification (Level 2 or higher) and/or a Pigment certification preferred
  • Working understanding of core FP&A and connected planning use cases: budgeting, forecasting, workforce, driver-based planning, and scenario modeling
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills, with a proven ability to make complex ideas simple, clear, and persuasive
  • Strong client-relationship, organization, and prioritization capabilities

You Are:

  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic, motivated to grow and shape a newly created role
  • Relentlessly proactive: you actively build assets, pursue new use cases, and take initiative rather than waiting for direction
  • A natural presenter who is energized by commanding a room and engaging senior stakeholders
  • Curious and quick to learn new platform capabilities across both Anaplan and Pigment
  • A thought leader who stays ahead of platform and market developments
  • Reliably available and responsive during core business hours
  • Full of entrepreneurial spirit and comfortable in a fluid, flat organization
  • A strong team player who communicates effectively across all levels
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client service and doing meaningful work

The annual salary for this role ranges from: $110,000 to $165,000 USD + benefits + bonus. Actual compensation packages are determined by evaluating a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, years and depth of experience, education, certifications, cost of labor and internal equity.

THIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY AND THE EMPLOYER INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY JANUARY 17, 2027.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
