About Aspora

People on the move deserve a bank that moves with them. Since 2022, Aspora has been building a borderless financial operating system that makes money as mobile and transparent as its users.

Backed by influential venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator & Global Founders Capital. We're a team of 75+ across India, the UK, the UAE, EU and the US, working with extreme ownership, radical candour, and an obsession with customer impact.

We celebrate builders who question assumptions, ship fast, and turn regulatory complexity into elegant solutions. If you’re driven to redefine what global banking can be, we’d love to build the future with you.

About the role

Most marketing jobs look the same. You get slotted into a lane, handed a playbook, and told to stay inside the lines.

Not here. One day you’ll be landing us a headline in the NY Times. The next you’ll be distributing flyers to thousands of people. The day after that, you’ll be launching a set of billboards.

If you want safe and comfortable, look elsewhere. If you want to work with marketing pros who built companies like Revolut and Kraken, then look no further.

What you’ll own

  • Build killer relationships with top tech and finance press to land headline coverage

  • Hustle speaking slots at major conferences and get our execs on the right stages

  • Map out and run local community events, sponsorships, and grassroots activations

  • Own end-to-end event presence, from scrappy meet-ups to big industry stages

  • From paid social to referrals, work with HQ to help plan and localise marketing campaigns

Who you are

  • 2+ years in PR or Marketing, ideally at a fast-growing startup with a name people know

  • A creative brain that refuses to think in straight lines — you spot angles others miss

  • Relations with tier-one media across business, tech, and finance, or willingness to grow them

  • A killer writer who can switch from sharp ad copy to polished press releases with ease

  • A natural hustler - happy with organising an event one day, and pitching the press the other

  • Comfortable in the data, able to pull insights that actually change the game and matter

  • Ruthlessly organised, you build strategies, roadmaps, and goals with military precision

Why Aspora?

  • Shape the future of a global fintech platform and redefine banking for immigrants worldwide

  • Drive expansion for Aspora through great PR and Marketing

  • Be part of an early-stage team where speed, innovation, and ownership are the norm

  • Work in a dynamic, international, and fast-paced environment that encourages innovation and growth

  • Collaborate with passionate individuals who are committed to building world-class products

  • Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and ESOPs aligned with Aspora’s long-term vision

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
