Overview

Our purpose is to empower organizations to transform how work gets done by harnessing the full potential of AI, agents, automation, and low-code innovation. We help customers reimagine business processes, modernize workflows, and create intelligent experiences that connect people, data, applications, and AI.

As a Power Platform & Copilot Studio Solution Engineer, you will help customers accelerate business transformation through Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform, and agentic AI solutions. You will lead technical customer engagements across the sales lifecycle, combining deep technical expertise with business-process discovery, solution envisioning, architecture, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities.

This role goes beyond showcasing technology. You will help customers identify high-value processes that can be redesigned through automation and AI, envision agentic experiences, and prove how agents and Power Platform solutions can deliver measurable business outcomes.

Working closely with customers, partners, account teams, and consulting resources, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping organizations confidently move from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale agentic transformation, while keeping security, governance, compliance, responsible AI, and business value at the center of every engagement.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Own the technical win strategy for Power Platform and Copilot Studio opportunities, from envisioning through technical validation, solution architecture, proof of concept, and technical decision.

  • Build compelling demonstrations and prototypes that translate customer requirements into tangible AI-powered business experiences.

  • Help customers evolve from point solutions to agentic business processes, identifying where agents can augment people, automate activities, orchestrate workflows, and introduce human-in-the-loop experiences.

  • Guide enterprise architecture and governance conversations, ensuring security, data protection, compliance, responsible AI, environment strategy, and lifecycle management are considered as customers scale Power Platform and agents.

  • Address technical blockers and competitive differentiation, helping customers understand how Microsoft's low-code, data, automation, and AI capabilities come together as an integrated platform.

  • Partner across Microsoft and the ecosystem, bringing together sales, engineering, partners, consulting, and customer stakeholders to accelerate technical decisions and successful implementations.

  • Drive adoption and business value, helping customers move beyond pilots toward repeatable, scalable solutions that deliver meaningful operational and business outcomes.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
