  • Manage and continuously optimize the end-to-end onboarding and integration process to ensure a smooth, consistent, and effective experience for new hires around the globe
  • Own and create all people-related content including internal and external facing materials such as the People & Talent website pages, infographics, presentation decks, talent fliers, surveys, and other collateral throughout the employee lifecycle that showcase and communicate our culture, values, programs, and initiatives
  • Coordinate offboarding activities, including exit interviews, knowledge sharing, and systems access removal logistics
  • Manage People Ops reporting and analytics, including headcount, turnover, engagement, and performance metrics; provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Support and lead audits to ensure compliance with data accuracy and reporting requirements
  • Own, build, and manage company-wide training programs, workshops, and professional development activities including owning the metrics to measure success
  • Manage and administer performance review cycles, including goal-setting, training, and reporting on calibration and overall metrics and trends

We’ll be excited if you have

  • 3-5 years of experience as a People Ops generalist in a high-growth, global start-up environment, specifically in employee experience, learning and development, and performance management
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes across the entire employee lifecycle; best practices are great but creative, out-of-the-box solutions-oriented thinking is better!
  • Exceptional project management and reporting skills with superb attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills in content creation, including design tools and clear, engaging writing
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (speaking, writing) with the intuitive ability to build trust and influence across all levels
  • Team player with a scrappy win together mindset adaptable to change and ambiguity
  • Must be able to work partial APAC hours
  • Preference if you speak either Japanese or Mandarin

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
