Are you ready to set the standard for Premium apparel?

Main purpose of the Pattern Maker role:

This is a full time role for a mid to senior level candidate who is meticulous with details and driven by the pattern making aspect of the design process.  This pattern maker will partner with Design for the implementation and execution of the 3D fitting and pattern making process.  This process will play a key role in improving overall fit and aesthetic of Proto samples, to increasing overall speed to market.  The person in this role will bring with them drive and passion for developing technically sound garments with fabulous fit that cater to the body con LA woman.  This position requires an out of the box thinker who can collaborate with the existing team, outside vendors and across all levels of the organization.

Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Partner with Design through the hand off and 3D fitting process
  • Create a 3D rendering of pattern to review with design
  • Create and adjust patterns in digital software (Tukatech, Gerber, CLO)
  • Create and adjust Drapes on the dress form and live models.
  • Draft and revise pattern from 1st proto to Production for our Domestic Partners
  • Work with inhouse studio, cutting and sewing departments to create proto type & sew by samples
  • Conduct fitting with Design and other cross functional teams, and adjust patterns accordingly
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure desired fit and design intent is executed in 1st proto stage
  • Ensure all pattern revisions are completed within a timely manner to ensure deadlines are maintained
  • Manage reporting for internal communications
  • Complete ad hoc assign by management

Competencies: 
 
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Strong understanding of construction and patterns
  • Strong understanding of fabrics, interlinings, trims and their properties
  • Create cutting tickets, mini markers, and sewing instructions for the Studio team
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task while staying organized
  • High sense of urgency, punctuality and timeliness
  • Must have a strong work ethic and motivation to learn
  • Works well individually, as well as, with a team

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Degree in apparel manufacturing, product development or apparel design related field

• 10+ years work experience as pattern maker

• Proficient in digital pattern making programs: Gerber, Tukatech or similar

• In depth knowledge of fabric, apparel, materials, construction and fit


Preferred Qualifications: 

• Consistent work experience and steady career progression as a pattern maker

• Work experience at premium and/or contemporary women’s fashion brands

An estimated salary range for this position is: $90k-$100k
