- Sunday - Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm
- Sunday - Thursday 9:30am -6:00pm
- Tuesday - Saturday 12:00pm-8:30pm
- Tuesday - Saturday 7:00am -3:30pm

Position Summary:
The Pathology Support Specialist is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to the Medical Director and staff pathologists with daily activities associated with case management, communication, scheduling, record and material retention.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assesses caseload, prioritizes and distributes cases among the pathology staff
- Prepares pending case load reports for pathologists as well as follow up
- Follows-up on late/early morning global cases
- Files and retrieves slides as requested
- Assists pathologists with image capture and all associated LIS and database management
- Serves as a liaison between the Pathology Staff and the various departments within the company
- Effectively track specimens for different tests at any given time
- Checks current cases and records for completeness and accuracy
- Prepares pathologist schedules and maintains communication between pathologists across sites
- Identifies and monitors STAT cases progress
- Prepares and maintains records for outside consultation cases
- Organizes materials for outside referrals
- Orders and receives office supplies and medical forms, journals, books, and pamphlets
- Prepares correspondence, reports, and presentations for Medical Director and staff pathologists as needed
- Prepares, maintains, and ensures departmental policy and procedure manuals are inspection ready
- Receives and distributes departmental phone calls and makes outbound calls to physicians for Pathologists as needed
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional training in a medical or call center environment preferred.
- Three or more years of experience equivalent working in an administrative support capacity in a medical environment preferred. Knowledge of clinical/oncology-specific terminology preferred.
