Partner Solutions Architect, Consulting PartnersWho we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

As a member of the Partner Solutions Architecture team, you will provide technical guidance to Stripe’s partners. Our goal is to drive growth through joint solution development, education, and enablement in collaboration with our partner organization.

You will serve as a critical technical counterpart to Stripe’s Partner Development Managers. This includes creating technical business plans with partners and identifying, developing, and bringing to market service and solution offerings built on or with Stripe.

A successful Partner Solutions Architect is intellectually curious, motivated to win, and comfortable operating with an open and entrepreneurial mindset.

What you'll do

As a Partner Solutions Architect, you will build trusted relationships with C-level executives and technical decision-makers across partner organizations and their customers. You will provide business and technical thought leadership, serve as a trusted advisor, and help solve mission-critical business challenges.

You will also help partners design business models that create new monetization opportunities and drive growth.

Responsibilities
  • Work with strategic consulting partners, including systems integrators (SIs) and global systems integrators (GSIs), to build their Stripe capabilities, develop solutions, and grow joint business.
  • Develop repeatable horizontal and industry-specific solutions with partners. (https://stripe.partners/solutions)
  • Support strategic pre-sales opportunities and help secure joint technical wins.
  • Create and execute technical enablement plans for priority partners.
  • Lead technical discussions and solution deep dives that demonstrate the value Stripe can provide to partners and their customers.
  • Engage partner CTOs, engineering leaders, and other technical decision-makers to share product roadmaps, demonstrate new capabilities, and define joint solution strategies.
  • Guide partners through the sales and solution-design process to support mutual success in joint opportunities.
  • Educate Stripe’s sales teams on key partner capabilities, solutions, and use cases.
  • Serve as an advocate for strategic partners within assigned sales regions and identify opportunities for greater sales collaboration.
  • Develop technical content, including sample code and demonstrations, that shows partners how to implement specific use cases and follow best practices.
  • Represent partner needs internally by providing structured feedback on Stripe’s products.
  • Represent Stripe at partner and industry forums and contribute to joint thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with Stripe Partner Advocates to drive innovation and adoption of Stripe products.
  • Track and communicate progress, outcomes, risks, and opportunities through quarterly business reviews and other established forums.
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements for the role. If you meet these requirements, we encourage you to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, technical consulting, or a comparable customer-facing technical role within a global software company.
  • 5+ years of experience working within partner ecosystems, including SIs, GSIs, or independent software vendors (ISVs).
  • Demonstrated executive engagement skills and presence, with the ability to establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and build credibility at all levels.
  • Strong group-facilitation skills and confidence in proposing and leading customer and partner meetings to establish strategic alignment and pursue opportunities.
  • A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, APIs, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to learn and advise on Stripe products, including Payments, Billing, Connect, and others.
  • An understanding of how ERP, CRM, billing, tax, and legacy systems interact within enterprise technology environments.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple strategic partners, customers, and opportunities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a customer-facing domain expert in payments, including presenting and architecting solutions for enterprise customers.
  • Experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs into web applications.
  • Experience with system design and building and deploying complex applications.
  • Experience supporting global enterprise technical sales at a leading enterprise software company.
  • Experience helping customers adopt and expand their use of cloud-based software.
  • A passion for learning and actively seeking new knowledge.
  • The ability to work independently and confidently develop a path forward with customers under ambiguous circumstances.
  • Strategic and creative thinking, with the ability to identify challenges proactively and maintain a constructive approach when facing difficult obstacles.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to support Stripe’s users.
Hybrid work at Stripe

This role is available either in an office or a remote location (35+ miles or 56+ km from a Stripe office).

In-office expectations

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently live or plan to live.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
