The Global Channel Partner Solutions (GCPS) team drives commercial partner success across Microsoft Cloud applications, services, and devices. Our mission is to empower partners to build profitable, scalable offerings that accelerate global revenue growth and deliver transformative customer value.

We are hiring a Partner Solution Architect – AI Business Solutions, a senior individual contributor who will serve as a deep technical advisor to Microsoft’s top managed partners. In this Level 400 technical role, you will collaborate with partner CTOs, Chief Architects, engineering leaders, developers, and solution architects to design, build, validate, and scale production-ready AI and agentic solutions. You will help partners move beyond technology adoption to build sophisticated AI practices, reusable intellectual property, accelerators, agentic solutions, and differentiated managed services for the AI services.

As a Partner Solution Architect (PSA) in AI Business Solutions, You will bring hands-on architectural depth across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure AI services, Microsoft Foundry, Microsoft Graph, Teams, data platforms, identity, security, and governance. Success requires the ability to connect AI models and agents with enterprise data, applications, APIs, security, observability, and governance to create secure, scalable end-to-end architectures. You will also serve as a technical bridge between Microsoft engineering and strategic partners, bringing emerging capabilities into partner solutions while providing structured feedback informed by real-world implementations.

Responsibilities
  • Design Cloud Architectures - Ensure robust, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure tailored to partner needs, allowing businesses to handle growth, and changing demands efficiently.  
  • Lead Architectural Design Sessions - Facilitate the creation of effective and efficient cloud solutions through collaborative planning and design sessions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. This collaboration fosters innovation and problem-solving, leading to better-designed systems. 
  • Develop Proof of Concepts and Pilots – Demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of proposed cloud solutions, gaining partner buy-in and driving adoption. These prototypes help validate ideas and identify potential issues before full-scale implementation, saving time and resources.  
  • Provide Technical Guidance and Support - Ensure successful implementation and optimization of cloud solutions, enhancing partner satisfaction and solution performance, to maximize the value of partner’ cloud investments and adapt efficiently to challenges. 
  • Transition Partner from Legacy Systems - Facilitate smooth transitions to modern cloud environments, improving efficiency and reducing operational risks for partners, to help them stay competitive by leveraging the latest technologies and cloud best practices.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud technologies, information technology (IT), consulting/support, software development, practice development
    • OR equivalent experience.  

Other Requirements

Additional or Preferred Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of enterprise technical experience with any of the following:  M365 Copilot, Copilot Chat, Agents, Power Platform, Copilot Studio
  • Experience in technology IP solutions or services development, with a deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, and emerging cloud trends like generative AI and SaaS services 
  • Background and knowledge of cloud technologies, with a focus on Microsoft's cloud offerings (Azure, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365)
  • Understanding of Microsoft partner ecosystem and partner  business model
  • Security, governance, and data access best practices  
  • Adoption and Change management (Prosci)​ 
  • Build Copilot extensions​ and Agents
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external) 
  • Experience working on technical projects 
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
