Sr. Manager, International Markets, Expansion Strategy
We’re looking for a Sr. Manager, International Markets to join Team Snapchat! As the Head of Strategy for the International Markets team, you will be a part of a newly formed, highly visible and strategic team driving to scale Snapchat user base around the world. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll develop Snap’s expansion strategy and operationalize it in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. This is a key global role responsible for prioritizing markets, building the business case for where we should expand next and assessing progress, working cross-functionally with key stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Develop international expansion playbook - strategy, planning, execution and steady state phases
Evaluate new market opportunities, prioritize these opportunities and build business cases to support recommendations
Partner with cross functional teams (Policy, Legal, Finance, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Comms, etc.), build champions in each function, and facilitate horizontal collaboration and communication to coordinate international expansion initiatives
Partner with Research and Data teams to develop deep market insights
Structure and execute complex analyses to support strategy
Help manage the day to day business cadence, communicating progress and performance
Build pipeline and assess acquisition and strategic investment opportunities to accelerate user growth and engagement
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
7+ years experience in a combination of top-tier management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy and operations roles in tech/early stage
Preferred qualifications:
MBA or relevant masters degree
2+ years experience leading teams
Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with business judgment
Experience with SQL, structuring strategic analysis using spreadsheets and presentations
Excellent verbal, written communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of delivery and impact
Demonstrated ability to think strategically leading to recommendations combined with attention to detail implementing them collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of management, internally and externally
Adaptability, passion, ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Experience building and coordinating with cross-cultural teams located in different geographies
