The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap Inc. This team of product managers, designers, scientists, and more work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that bring our community together in new and special ways.
We’re looking for a leader to drive the growth and success of Camera Kit, Snap’s new initiative to share our AR Camera with third parties. Over the past decade, our investments in the Snap Camera have enabled us to grow the Snapchat app to 293 million daily active users spanning the globe. Moreover, the massive AR engagement within Snapchat has attracted a community of over 200,000 AR creators, who have made roughly 2 million individual AR experiences to date. As we begin to share Snap’s powerful camera with partners like Samsung, Disney, and more, we’re looking for an experienced leader who has built and scaled complex platform products and businesses in the past.
This position will be based in the West Coast, preferably located near our Los Angeles headquarters.
What you’ll do:
Drive our Camera Kit strategy and execution, in partnership with cross-functional teams (Product Management, Engineering, Partnerships, Business Development, Design, etc)
Grow Camera Kit adoption & satisfaction
Ensure our partners’ success through a focus on developer tools & services, AR innovation, monetization offerings that cater to their business needs
Provide C-level stakeholders with regular updates on performance of the Camera Kit program
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrated success leading, operating, and scaling complex platform products and/or platform businesses
Experience building products in partnership with small-to-enterprise scale companies
Demonstrated success leading teams within large organizations
Demonstrated experience effectively leading a team that exceeds business objectives and delivers consistent results
A critical thinker who enjoys creatively solving any problem that stands between us and our goals
A fast learner who is self-motivated, curious, and open-minded
A detail-oriented person with outstanding communication skills
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
10+ years of experience building, shipping, and scaling platform products and businesses
8+ years of experience growing, developing, and leading teams
Experience as a product manager or product designer
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in Business Administration
An experienced strategist who feels comfortable making tough, high-impact business decisions
A trusted team member who can tactfully bridge priorities between multiple stakeholders
